Material Girl Millie

Good morning! I'm back with another Millie the Mouse card and paired her up with my Material Girl DP (hence the goofy title of my post, lol!). The layout was yesterday's Card Patterns Sketch 66. The sentiment and scalloped rectangle are both up on foam tape. Millie was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with a combination of Copic markers and Prisma pencils.

You can find a whole bunch of MFT stamps, Cosmo Cricket papers, and Memento inks at Stamper's Dream.

Here's a peek at the inside.....

....I think I need to get myself a new scallop edge punch or find a way to fix mine. Looks like it's doing something funky to some of the scallops.

Hope you're having a great holiday weekend so far.

Sailboat and Sailor's Knot

I know, I know....JustRite Week ended at Stamper's Dream but I just HAD to play with these By the Sea stamps again. I love them! I also wanted to make another sailor's knot...so fun. The DP is Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk. Oh, and that brown spot on the yarn is not an ink spot (looks like it though)....the yarn I picked up is mostly off-white with random spots of browns, tan, and rust. That spot you see is just part of the yarn I picked out. Anyhoo.....the sailboat was stamped on vintage cream CS in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and I added some Waterfall Stickles to the water.

To all the moms out there, happy Mother's Day!

Let's Do Lunch

Hi all, we just got home from kindergarten orientation for our 5-year-old. Can I just tell you how that HIT me like a ton of bricks that she's actually going to school.....real school....as in kindergarten with real curriculum, academic testing, lunch money, buses, guidance counselors and school principals? The funny thing is just this a.m. I was talking to another mom from preschool and I was saying how "I'm fine with it and I'm ready for her to go to kindergarten" and how I thought "my husband is the one who will be upset." NOPE....I'm the one that was sitting there fighting tears like you wouldn't believe. Oye! Some tough talker I am, lol!

Anyhooo, enough of my boo-hoo'ing and onto the card I want to show you today. It's for this week's OCL Sketch #12 from the sweet and talented Charmaine. I turned the sketch sideways to accommodate the image I wanted to use from my Life's a Picnic set. The sentiment was cut apart and popped up on foam tape. The image was stamped in black craft on watercolor paper, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, and watercolored with SU inks. The DP is Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety. Oh, and I added some stickles to the cherry, bandana, and pie.

Have a great day!

Butterfly Dreams

Here's a card I made for yesterday's SCS Sketch using my brand new Butterfly Dreams set from PTI. I tried to refrain from buying it....I really did....but eventually I gave in and bought it. It's just toooooo beautiful and I hadda have it. {grin!} All the butterflies are up on foam tape and they all have Diamond Stickles on their wings.

...that extra thin strip of Hawaiian Shores CS along the bottom isn't part of the sketch. I had to add that to cover up a smudge of Diamond Glaze...ugh!

The teal pearls were part of some blog candy that I won from Jami Bova's blog. Thanks Jami!

Have a great day!

Hi all! I'm back with another card for JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream. The orange squares are up on foam tape and so is the yellow square in the center. I added a strip of Scor Tape along the Hawaiian Shores panel and glittered it up with some loose blue glitter (something I saw Barb Anders do on this card that I just HAD to try!).
