JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream

It's JustRite week at Stamper's Dream!

I made this Thanksgiving card using the Classic Circle II Stamp Ensemble, and paired it with the Autumn Pumpkin image. I thought the curly background in the JustRite stamper went well with the curly pumpkin vines.

I stamped the JustRite "Thanks" stamper once in Old Olive ink onto white CS, then I stamped it again in Versamark onto white CS and heat embossed it with dark brown embossing powder. I cut out the embossed brown "thanks" and layered it over the one stamped in Old Olive. The circle and scallop circles were cut with Nestabilities dies and popped up on separate layers of dimensionals.

The Autumn Pumpkin by the Artful Stamper and olive satin ribbon are also available at Stamper's Dream. The pumpkin was colored with Copic markers (W1 Warm Gray, Y28 Lionet Gold, YG95 Pale Olive, YR04 Chrome Orange, and YR68 Orange). The Chocolate Chip mat behind the main image is up on dimensionals.

Be sure to stop by Michelle's blog today too because she not only has an awesome JustRite project to show you, but she's also offering up some *DREAMY TREATS* to one lucky winner.....the JustRite Christmas Stamp Ensemble and the 3-1/4" wooden stamper to go with it!!!

WSC65 Wassail Christmas

I know, I know...you can say it..."she's totally stuck on this Snowman for Peace and that Wassail paper." ...and you'd be correct! Hehe!

The layout is Beate's Weekend Sketch 65. I saw Anna Wight and Paula Williamson made some cards where they stamped onto Kraft CS and colored in the image with white, and I've been wanting to try it ever since. I totally need practice on this. For some reason the gamsol works differently with a white pencil...or maybe with Kraft CS...or maybe it's just me, LOL! Anyway, I'll keep practicing. Here's one of Anna's cards and one of Paula's so you can see. Aren't they cool?!

The inside of the card has more of the red Wassail DP matted with black. I stamped the present from the Snowman for Peace cling set onto a scrap piece of the red Wassail DP, cut it out, and glued it down in the lower left-hand corner.

I got the burgundy velvet ribbon, gold string and Wassail DP at Stamper's Dream.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Snowman for Peace (Whipper Snapper Designs)
Paper: SU Kraft, SU Basic Black, Basic Grey Wassail DP
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: Burgundy Velvet Ribbon, Gold String, Circle Nestabilities, Gunmetal Stickles (the eyes, mouth, and buttons on the snowman), Dimensionals (main image and sentiment), Prisma Pencils, Gamsol

Enjoy your Sunday!

OCC Inspiration Challenge - Holly Cupcake

Hey all! Today it's an inspiration challenge on Our Creative Corner, and here is the inspiration picture. What do you think?...polka dots, a cupcake, traditional red and green Christmas colors...totally cute, right?! :)

Be sure to stop by the OCC blog and check out what Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, and Lynda have made for you.

We have a very special guest on the OCC today....Taylor VanBruggen! Her card is adorable so come on over and check it out. :) Thanks for being our guest this week, Taylor!

I used the sentiment and holly cupcake stamp from Season's Sweetings. I masked the cupcake with a stamped and cut out post-it note to make the trio of cupcakes. They're colored with Copic markers (numbers are in the recipe below). The layout is Taylor's TECC Sketch from last week...TECC40. The sentiment and main image panel are up on dimensionals. I added some Dries Clear Adhesive to the centers of the holly and then sprinkled on some Fire Engine Red Glitter. The double-edged polka dot ribbon is also from Taylored Expressions.

I added a white panel to the inside of the card matted with black CS. Down in the lower left-hand corner, I stamped the row of cupcakes from the Home Sweet Home set. They were also colored with Copics.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Season's Sweetings and Home Sweet Home (Taylored Expressions, Stamp a Sweet Impression Collection)
Paper: SU Mellow Moss, SU Basic Black, PTI Select White, Martha Stewart DP from Michael's
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics: W1 Warm Gray, YR00 Powder Pink, E51 Milky White, BG93 Green Gray, BG96 Bush, R46 Strong Red
Accessories: Polka-Dot Ribbon and Fire Engine Red Glitter (Taylored Expressions), Dries Clear Adhesive (Art Institute Glitter), Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Snowflake Cuttlebug Folder, Dimensionals
Technique: Dry Embossing

TSG Friendship Tea

First, BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my daughter. She turns 20 today!! :) Love ya, E!

I made this card using the new Tea For Two sets from There She Goes. I made the card for today's Limited Supplies Challenge (LSC193)....BUT!....I goofed and added brads....wasn't supposed to do that. Oops, disqualified!!

I stamped two teacups (from Tea for Two) onto white CS with Versafine Black Onyx, then stamped two more onto the Wassail DP. The teacup on the left was cut out and paper pieced, the teacup on the right was cut out and it's popped up on a SU Dimensional (the handle on the one on the right is paper pieced). The steam...loooove the steam stamp!...was stamped in Versafine Black Onyx as well and then I added some Platinum Stickles to make them sparkle. See the black panel behind the main image? I don't know if you can see it in the picture but I stamped the steam all over that panel in Versamark and then heat embossed it in Clear EP. The Kraft Scallop layer and black circle behind the sentiment (from Tea for Two Special Blend) are also up on Dimensionals.

The inside of the card has more of the Wassail DP, matted with Basic Black. I also stamped this sentiment...and more steam (see, told you I love that stamp, LOL!) from the Tea for Two set.

The velvet ribbon is from Stamper's Dream. The cocoa brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: TSG Tea for Two, TSG Tea for Two Special Blend
Paper: SU Ruby Red, SU Basic Black, SU Kraft, PTI Select White, Basic Grey Wassail DP
Ink: Versamark, Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: Velvet Ribbon, Cocoa Brads, Platinum Stickles, SU Scallop Edge Punch, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Circle Nestabilities
Technique: Heat Embossing

Shimmery Sparkly Snowman

I inked up Anna Wight's Snowman for Peace, one of the new cling sets from Whipper Snapper Designs...I just love this snowman! I blinged him all up by with clear and blue Swarovski Crystals, layered him on some shimmery blue CS, and the snow is even glittery!

The card measures 4.25" x 4.25" square. I love square cards, and this size is nice because it'll fit in a regular invitation envelope. The layout is Julee Tilman's Mojo Sketch 59. I used PTI's Night Sky Shimmer CS for the card base and the punched snowflakes....sooo shimmery! The white panel is dry embossed through the Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. The snowflakes were punched out with a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and popped up on dimensionals, then I added a small dot of crystal effects to the centers to glue down the clear crystals. The snowman was stamped once onto white CS with Versafine Black Onyx, watercolored with Basic Black ink, and his nose was colored with a Y38 Honey Copic marker. I stamped the hat and scarf onto Bashful Blue Designer Prints, cut them out, and glued them over the snowman. I added Dries Clear Adhesive to the snow under the snowman and sprinkled on some of Taylor's Starfire Glitter.

The inside of the card has a thin 1/2" strip of the Bashful Blue Designer Prints along the bottom edge, and I stamped some of the snowflakes from Anna's Snowman for Peace set along the top edge in Bashful Blue ink.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Snowman for Peace (Whipper Snapper Designs)
Paper: PTI Night Sky Shimmer CS, PTI Select White, Bashful Blue Designer Prints
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Y38 Honey Copic Marker
Accessories: Clear and Blue Swarovski Crystals (from AC Moore), SU Small and Large Oval Punches, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Dimensionals, Starfire Glitter (Taylored Expressions), Dries Clear Adhesive (Art Institute Glitter)
Technique: Paper Piecing
Card Size: 4.25" x 4.25"

Manger Kisses

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. We're going to head down to my brother and SIL's shortly to celebrate my brother and daughter's birthdays and to see the baby...just can't stay away from all that sweetness! :)

Today's featured stamper is Becca Stamps....WOW does she have an amazing gallery! Gorgeous stuff!! I chose THIS CARD of her's to CASE. I LOVE the layout with the circle windows, the gold accents, and how she wove the ribbon into the circles and around the main image.

I changed out the colors, papers, and I used a different stamp...my new Manger Kisses stamp from Stamper's Dream. I love this image! It's stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers (YG91 Putty, Y28 Lionet Gold, E33 Sand, E35 Chamois, E43 Dull Ivory, E51 Milky White, E57 Light Walnut, R46 Strong Red, and W1 Warm Gray). I added some Platinum Stickles to the wings. The sentiment was cut out with Spellbinders Double Ended Tags and popped up on dimensionals over a large white felt snowflake.

RECIPE ~

Paper: SU Riding Hood Red, PTI Select White, PTI Gold Metallic Shimmer, Basic Gray Wassail DP

OCC Coloring Challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you had fun trick-or-treating last night. Our youngest had a blast dressing up in her cat costume. She looked adorable!

Sorry that I've been a little MIA, but it's been a really busy week. In addition to getting ready for Halloween, earlier this week my SIL had her baby!! I'm the proud new aunt to a baby girl. My SIL and the baby are both doing well...other than she evidently has her nights and days mixed up with sleep (don't they all?!). So anyway, enough babbling and onto the OCC stuff....

Today's challenge is to show us your favorite way to color (gamsol magic, copics, watercoloring, etc.)...or just pull out a stamp that you enjoy coloring. Be sure to check the OCC Blog for all the details on the challenge and to see the winner of last week's giveaway. Our special guest designer on the OCC this week is my bud, Lori McAree...so stop by to see her sample as well.

My card is for Laurie Schmidlin's daughter. You can see the post HERE on the Need a Lift Forum of SCS. It's very sad and I can't imagine what they're all going through. Please keep Laurie and her daughter in your thoughts and prayers. We love ya, Laurie! {{hugs}}

I followed Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC64. The main image was stamped in Versamark onto white CS, colored with Prisma Pencils, and then blended with Gamsol. You can see the Gamsol Magic technique HERE on SCS. The Tweetie Pie image is from Whipper Snapper Designs, and the yummy polka-dot ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. The red scallop oval is up on dimensionals, and then the main image is up on a second layer. I made the sentiment on the computer, punched it out with SU's word window punch, and popped it up on dimensionals. The scallop border was done with a Martha Stewart border punch that I bought at Michael's. The DP is just some leftover scraps, and I don't have the name anymore...sorry!

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Tweetie Pie (Whipper Snapper Designs)
Paper: SU Real Red, PTI Select White, Misc DP
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: Red Polka Dot Ribbon (Taylored Expressions), Martha Stewart Border Punch, SU Word Window Punch, Nestabilities Oval and Scallop Oval, Dimensionals, Prisma Pencils, Gamsol
Technique: Gamsol Magic

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Winter Shimmer

Hi all! This little winter house is from Anna Wight's Penguin Antics set, just released by Whipper Snapper Designs this month.

I stamped the house in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copic markers. I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the snow on the roof and on the ground. The main image and scallop mat behind it were cut with Nestabilities, and they're each up on separate layers of dimensionals.

I followed Beate's Weekend Sketch #63. Thanks, Beate!...another fun one! The blue felt snowflakes and the white pearls are available at Stamper's Dream. The Night Sky Shimmer CS and the Silver Ribbon are from Papertrey. The white panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the old snowflakes embossing folder.

On the inside of the card, there's a white panel with two snowflakes from the Penguin Antics set stamped in the lower left-hand corner in Brilliant Blue ink....I know, I really need to buy some navy ink. I can't believe I don't own any!

OCC Challenge - Handmade for the Holidays

Hi all, it's Saturday...time for another fun OCC challenge! This week Lynda is challenging everyone to make a 3-D item such as a gift tag, gift box, ornament, decoration, gift, anything!)

Be sure to check the OCC blog for all the details and to link us to your projects. We can't wait to see all the fun Holiday stuff you come up with! Check out what the girls on the OCC crew have made: Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, Laurie and Lynda...as well as our special guest designer this week, Lindsey Botkin.

I made an accordian tag holder and six tags using the new SASI Home Sweet Home set from Taylored Expressions. I'm attaching pics of what the holder looks like when it's closed and when it's open.

Tags:
Six pieces of white CS were cut to 2.25" wide x 4" high and the corners were punched with SU's tag corner punch, stamped with the cupcake snowman and Let it Snow sentiment, and colored with Copic markers (numbers are in the recipe below). Another six pieces of Basic Gray CS were cut 1/8" larger all around, the corners were punched with the tag corner punch, and then they were glued to the back of the stamped white tags. I punched six 1-3/8" circles in the blue Prism paper from the Christmas Key Ingredients, glued them to the tags, and then punched holes in each of them with my Cropodile. Ribbon was added through the punched holes.

Accordian Holder:
I pulled a sheet of the baby blue Prism paper from the Christmas Key Ingredients, cut it to 10.25" wide x 4.25" high, scored it into thirds, folded it "closed", and then used my paper cutter to snip off the corners and make each panel look like a tag. Next I cut three pieces of Basic Gray CS to 3.25" wide x 2.75" high, and then cut three pieces of white CS 1/8" smaller to mat in front of the Basic Gray. The cupcake snowman from the Home Sweet Home set was stamped onto each of the three white panels with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics (numbers are in the recipe below). Then I stamped the snowflakes from Home Sweet Home onto the white CS in Versamark and heat embossed them with silver embossing powder. The white pieces were matted against the Gray, and then I used some sticky strip along the left, right, and bottom edges to glue them to the accordian panels...that leaves the top open and makes three pockets. I inserted two tags into each of three pockets, folded the accordian holder "closed", punched holes on the left and right sides with my Cropodile, and tied them shut with the same silver ribbon.

It sounds like a lot, but these are SUPER easy to make! You can then give the whole set away as a gift or what I like to do is keep them in my purse and use them as notes....they tie onto anything! :)

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Home Sweet Home (Taylored Expressions, Stamp a Sweet Impression Collection)
Paper: Prism Baby Blue Medium, SU Basic Gray, PTI Select White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Copics: 0 Colorless Blender, W1 Warm Gray, W5 Warm Gray, W7 Warm Gray, BG15 Aqua, E49 Dark Bark, RV21 Light Pink, Y38 Honey
Accessories: PTI 1/4" Silver Sheer Metallic Edge Ribbon, Cropodile, Silver Embossing Powder, SU 1-3/8" Circle Punch, SU Tag Corner Punch
Technique: Heat Embossing

Enjoy your Saturday!! :)

TE Release Day - Sugar & Spice Holiday Treats

All of the new Stamp a Sweet Impression sets can NOW be ordered from the Taylored Expressions store!

There's a special announcement on the SASI Blog where you can be entered to win the new Holiday Key Ingredients. Check out all the details HERE on the Stamp a Sweet Impression Blog.

Now, onto my project...The stamps are all from the new Tag Treats and Home Sweet Home sets. I used the sentiment, "Sugar & Spice Make the Holidays Nice," and made up some yummy Sugar & Spiced Nuts. The recipe for the nuts is also at the bottom of this post!

The cone-shaped bags are 12" cake decorating bags from AC Moore. I stamped the snowflakes from Home Sweet Home onto the bags with White StazOn, and then I used my SU chalks to make them blue. The blue scalloped inserts inside the bags were cut with a scalloped circle nestabilities die, and then I ran the die-cut circle through my Cuttlebug again in the old Snowflakes embossing folder.

The white tags are from Taylor's store. I stamped the Sugar and Spice sentiment from Tag Treats in Memento Tuxedo Black in the center, stamped the snowflakes from Home Sweet Home in Bashful Blue, and then sponged bashful blue around the edges of the tags. The back side of the tag also has Bashful Blue sponged around the edges, and I stamped the "To/From"...also from the new Tag Treats set...in Memento Black.

The tops of the bags were tied shut with the blue shimmer ribbon in the Key Ingredients pack, and then I tied the tag onto the blue ribbon with silver cord from AC Moore.

These treat bags (and the nuts) were reeeeally easy to make! :)

TREAT BAG RECIPE ~

Stamps: Tag Treats and Home Sweet Home (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: White StazOn, Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue
Paper: Bashful Blue
Accessories: White Tags, Blue Shimmer Ribbon, Silver Cord, SU Chalks, Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Snowflake Cuttlebug Folder, 12" Cake Decorating Bags

CC189 Domestic Angel

Hi all!

Here's a card for today's Color Challenge on SCS...kiwi kiss, pink pirouette, and chocolate chip. Love these colors together! I used Julee Tilman's MOJO Sketch #57...except I had to move the ribbon on my card because I ran out of room.

I inked up my new Domestic Angel stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs and colored it with prisma pencils (blended with gamsol). I added some waterfall (blue) stickles to the water and bubbles, and some diamond (white/gold) stickles to her wings. There's a close-up picture below, which hopefully shows the sparkle a little better. Oh, and don't forget, you can click on any of the pictures and it'll give you an even bigger view.

I made the sentiment on the computer, and printed it on pink pirouette CS. The font is from Creating Keepsakes (digital scrapbooking) and it's called CK Journaling. I matted it against Chocolate Chip and glued down the Chocolate panel with dimensionals.

The inside of the card is layered with more Bella Rose DP and Chocolate Chip panels.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Domestic Angel (Whipper Snapper Designs)
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Paper: Textured Pink Pirouette, Plain Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, PTI Select White, SU Bella Rose DP
Accessories: Brown Polka Dot Organdy Ribbon, Waterfall and Diamond Stickles, Dimensionals, Prisma Pencils, Gamsol, SU Scallop Edge Punch
Card Size: 5.25" x 5.25" Square
Technique: Gamsol Magic

Don't forget, sneak peeks for the NEW Taylored Expressions stamps begin TOMORROW! Weeeee! So come on back and check it out. :) They're adorable!!

Have an awesome day!
