Celtic Cross

Yep, I've said it before and I'll say it again...I LOVE this Celtic cross. It's from one of the newest sets from There She Goes.

The cross and blessings sentiment is heat embossed with tinsel gold EP. The punched oval, white panel with the cross, river rock mat behind it, and the bottom white panel with the gold brads are all up on separate layers of Dimensionals. The layout is Jen del Muro's SFYTT from Saturday.

Here's a close-up of that tinsel gold EP...really sparkly!

Here's the inside with the sentiment stamped in River Rock. It shows up really well in real life, but I had a hard time getting a good picture of it. In case it's still too light in the photo for you to read the sentiment, it's "May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, May good luck pursue you each morning and night." The white panel with the sentiment is also up on Dimensionals.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Blessings (There She Goes)
Paper: Choice White CS (Taylored Expressions), River Rock, River Rock Designer Prints DP
Ink: Versamark, River Rock
Accessories: Curved Mega Rectangle Nestabilities, May Arts Gold Metallic String (Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts), Embroidered Ribbon, Ornare Piercing Template, Gold Brads, SU Lg. Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Ranger Tinsel Gold Embossing Powder

Timeless Tuesday

Today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at the Flourishes blog is a sketch...and it's from my fellow Stamper's Dream teammate Kimberly Crawford. AWESOME sketch, Kim!!

I love this Siberian Iris set...and guess what??....you can get it at Stamper's Dream!! Michelle carries a bunch of Flourishes sets now including this one.

Rather than stamping the large iris as the focal point, I decided to do something different and use the Happy Mother's Day sentiment as the focus with the large iris stamped in the background. There's also one more large iris stamped on the inside of the card in the lower right-hand corner. Pretty straightforward card, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Flourishes Siberian Iris
Paper: Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, White
Ink: Versamark, PTI Plum Pudding
Accessories: Kaiser Craft Adhesive Pearls, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Butterfly and Border Punches, White Primas from SU Pretties Kit, Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Dimensionals

That's it for today! Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Cat on the Moon

Hey all! Yesterday's featured stamper on SCS was Judy (StampingQueenJAR). Yay Judy!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I chose this cute baby card of Judy's to CASE. I kept her same fun layout with the ric rac ribbon, moon and special delivery theme, and ticket corners.

I changed the colors, added some paper tole work and used a different stamp, my Penny Black Cat on the Moon image that Michelle stamped for me (thanks, Michelle!). You can get this adorable Cat on the Moon stamp, the Prism Sunflower Light paper, Maggie May DP (the green panel, which is the flip side of a striped pattern), Neenah white CS, Memento tuxedo black ink, and yellow stickles all at Stamper's Dream! Links to each item are in the supply list below.

I made the sentiment on the computer (Monotype Corsiva font). The paws were all cut out from a second image and popped up on Dimensionals. Also up on Dimensionals are the white circles, yellow scallop circles, and the white base panel with the brads. Yellow Stickles were added to the edge of the moon and all the stars.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Penny Black Cat on the Moon
Paper: Prism Sunflowers Light, Neenah White, My Mind's Eye Maggie May DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (0, W1, W3, E02, YR21, YR24)
Accessories: Yellow Stickles, Spellbinders Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Green Ric Rac Ribbon from Michael's, SU Celery Brads, White Waxed Linen Thread from StarLit Studio, Dimensionals, Ticket Corner Punch

Have an awesome day!

Happy 40th to DH!

Today is my husband's 40th birthday! Happy birthday, babe! I love ya!!

Here's the card I made for him using my Stampscapes stamps (such calming stamps, aren't they?) and my favorite DP, Parisian Breeze. The white matted panel is up on Dimensionals and then the embossed main image is up on a second layer. The layout is Amy Rysavy's AMYRS60 sketch..I just moved the ribbon up above the main panel. I made the sentiment on the computer (Lucida Calligraphy font).

Here's what the inside looks like. It's the same layout, just without the Chocolate matting behind each panel.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Stampscapes Lakeside Cabin, Stampscapes Reeds Lg.
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kraft, Parisian Breeze DP
Ink: Colorbox Cocoa, Versamark (lg reed on inside)

TE Sneak Peek: Branching Out

Are ya ready??!! It's time for another release from Taylored Expressions.....and with this release there's something totally NEW!! Taylored Expressions is Branching Out, and in more ways than one!!

There will now be a brand new stamp line of stamps called Whimsical Wishes! The two new sets, called Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates (a mini set), kick off this new line! There's also a new program called the TE Giving Tree. Taylored Expressions will be donating the proceeds from sales of these two new sets to a wonderful charity called Eden Projects. There will be new stamp sets introduced quarterly for this on-going charitable program. Stop by Taylor's blog for more details!!

These sets are a little different than the SASI stamps in that they will need to be trimmed when you get them, but there's a good reason for that...this cut the manufacturing cost so Taylored Expressions can give MORE to the Eden Projects charity. They're still the same deeply etched, great quality stamps and they still come with those awesome full-color indexes. The mini set, Branching Out Coordinates, will fit into a CD case or the TE mini binder boxes. I use the TE mini binder boxes and I love them! Here's a post from January showing my stamping area. In the last picture at the bottom of the post, you can see the white boxes and how nicely they fit on a shelf or in a cabinet.

The branch and sentiment in my card is from the Branching Out set. The swing is from the new mini set, Branching Out Coordinates. I wanted my swing to hang and have a little movement so I stamped two of them, cut out just the seats, and glued the two seats around two strands of hemp twine. We had a big tree swing at our old house and I miss it, so when I saw this stamp I knew it'd be the first one I reached for. It brings back some good ole' memories. {smile}

I added a second branch to the inside of the card....which I might add is TOTALLY fun to color!! I added Angel Wings Shimmerz to the branch and the leaves, both on the inside and outside of the card.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: TE Branching Out, TE Branching Out Coordinates
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Fabriano Watercolor Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, Wild Wasabi, Basic Brown
Accessories: Green Ribbon, SU Word Window Punch, Spellbinders Circles, Hemp Twine, Angel Wings Shimmerz Paint, Dimensionals
Technique: Watercoloring

Now, be sure to check out the gorgeous sneak peeks from the rest of the Baker's Dozen: Ana, Charmaine, Dawn, Donna, Jen, Jodi, Karen G, Karen M (aka "Saucy"..hehe!), Laura, Laurie, Sankari, and Taylor....and I'll be back tomorrow with another TE sneak peek!

Turtles and Sunflowers

It's Monday, gang...back to the grind, huh? Well, that is if you're in an area that hasn't been hit by snow and you can get to work. Anyway, hopefully these sweet little Playtime turtles will brighten your day. They make me smile. I just love their patchwork shells. It's a Rachelle Ann Miller stamp and you can get it at Stamper's Dream.

Hi everyone and happy race day (for the NASCAR fans out there)! I have two cards to show you today...

The first one is for Taylor's TECC57 sketch. I used my Penny Black Sugar Sweet Dreams stamp and paired it with one of the cute sentiments from my SASI Year of Sweet Sentiments set. I stamped two images, cut out the spoon with the sleeping mouse from the second image, and popped it up on Dimensionals. The rectangle panel with the main image, the brown scallop panel behind it, and the punched sentiment are all up on Dimensionals too.

Here's a close-up of the dimension:

White Easter Basket

I love cards with a lot of white space. Some people who really inspire me to use more white space are Silke, Charmaine, and Rose Ann. Love their stuff! I sometimes make cards with white space, but I rarely *layer* white over white over white like this.....and I wanted to give it a try. I think it really shows off this beautiful basket image. This is a new set from Flourishes. It's called Signs of Spring and you can get it at Stamper's Dream.

The sketch is today's OCC challenge from Laurie Schmidlin. I love Laurie's work! Just this week, she made a card with a lot of white space for the Stamper's Dream Monthly Challenge. That's where I got the inspiration to use the Swiss Dots folder on the base layer....and in white. You can see her card HERE. Very pretty, huh?!

The main image is up on Dimensionals and so is the scallop oval behind it. The lacey panel with the Happy Easter sentiment is also up on Dimensionals.

Here's the inside of the card. The reason I stamped the daffodil on a separate white panel is to keep the Copic coloring from showing through the back of the card. The panel is also up on Dimensionals.

SUPPLY LIST
~
Stamps: Flourishes Signs of Spring
Paper: White, Marigold Morning
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (E25, E33, YR21, Y38, W1, W3, BV02, BV04, G21, G24, GG28, G40, RV21, RV23)
Accessories: Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Kaiser Craft Adhesive Pearls, Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Dimensionals, White Ribbon (from Jami Bova...seriously girl, you have amazing taste in ribbon!), White Waxed Linen Thread (from StarLit Studio), White Prima

Enjoy your Saturday!

On the first one, I used Parisian Breeze DP and colors. The Kraft mats behind the posies are up on Dimensionals. Angel Wings Shimmerz was added to the posies and leaves.
