Hope Angel

I'm just LOVIN' my Beary Special set from Taylored Expressions, and this particular bear is my VERY favorite....I love how *floppy* he is. Don't forget, this set (as well as the Beary Special Accessories) are part of the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree charitable program, so when you buy these sets a portion of the proceeds go directly to Sick Kids Hospital.

I saw Michelle Giraud's petal card where she colored the back of vellum CS with copics, and I thought it'd be great to try on these angel wings from the set. The wings are stamped in Versamark on vellum CS, heat embossed with Ranger Gold Tinsel EP, and then colored with the copics...again, on the back side. The sentiment was also heat embossed with the Tinsel EP. The wings were attached to the teddy bear with foam tape, and then layered on the metallic Rose Quartz CS with another layer. The Rose Quartz rectangle is also up on foam tape.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: TE Beary Special
Paper: PTI White, Vellum, Rose Quartz Metallic
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Copics: 0, E93, E42, E43
Accessories: Curved Mega Rectangle Nestabilities, Foam Tape, Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder, PTI Sweet Blush Button, Lace

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

Whoo-hooo, today is Taylor's birthday and we're celebrating Cupcake Friday style! Stop by Taylor's blog to check out the TECC sketch this week and send her some BIG happy birthday wishes while you're there.

Taylor, I hope you have an AMAZING birthday today....and do something REALLY fun!! I hope you like the card too. It's on it's way to you! {{Huge Happy Birthday Hugs}}

The card measures 5" square. The main image and sentiment were stamped in black craft ink, heat embossed wtih clear EP, and watercolored. The Razzleberry mat behind the main image is up on foam tape. Quick note about that Prism Razzleberry CS....for you Rose Red and/or Purely Pomegranate fans (like me), this Prism color is REALLY close to those SU colors. The satin bows were tied with my Bow Easy. Have you ever tried Taylor's 3/8" satin ribbon??....I'm sure I've told you before, but I'll tell you again, it's my very favorite! It's pretty, it ties like a dream, and it's SOFT. I can't say enough good things about this ribbon. Product links to the TE store are in the supply list below.

Because Taylor is THE cupcake queen...well...I just HAD to make sure the inside totally SCREAMED cupcakes so I added this big and glittery *cupcakes* sticker that was part of my Cupcake Bundle for the June release. Note: the Cupcake Bundle has sold out, but Taylor does have the Sweet Treats Stickers available in the store.

TE Beary Special Sneak Peek

Hey all! It's sneak peek time at Taylored Expressions. Today we're showing you the incredibly cute Beary Special and Beary Special Accessories sets...they'll be in the store and available for purchase this Friday, June 5th at 8 a.m. Pacific time. The bear and birthday sentiment are from the Beary Special set, the balloons and party hat are from the Beary Special Accessories set.

In my opinion, these are must-have sets! Not only are they super cute, but they're part of the quarterly TE Giving Tree charitable program. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Sick Kids, a healthcare community dedicated to improving the health of children. You can find out more about this wonderful organization by visiting Taylor's blog.

Both of these sets were designed by Nancy McKinney. The Sick Kids charity is very special to Nancy personally, as they directly helped her family. Stop by Nancy's blog today for the story of her son Henri. Also, just a reminder that these sets will need to be trimmed from the sheet of rubber when you receive them. This not only saves costs on manufacuring but it enables TE to donate even more to the charity.

Now, onto some details about my card today...

Both nestie panels are up on foam tape. The balloons were stamped on DP, cut out, and paper pieced over the main panel. I used thread for the balloon strings and secured them with a clear adhesive rhinestone that I colored with a RV34 Copic. The teddy bear and sentiment are both heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Here's the inside of the card with another paper pieced balloon from Beary Special Accessories:
