Autumn Gardener

Hey all! Last night my daughter and I went to see Fame....oh what a fun movie! I'm getting ready to head to the gym this a.m. and then this afternoon we'll watch the race...well, that is *if* it doesn't get rained out. If it does get rained out, then we're all going to go see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Here's a card I made for SCS Sketch 247. On the front of the card I used this sweet Sarah Kay image that Michelle sent me. It's called Gardeners Need Many Helpers. It's stamped on Prism Smooth White and I colored it with prisma pencils....and can I just tell you that this CS works WONDERFULLY with prismas and gamsol. Oh my word, it's my new favorite for Prisma coloring!! The chocolate scallop rectangle is up on foam tape. I colored an extra hat, cut it out, and popped that up on foam tape too. Here's a close-up:

...and here's the inside where I used a sentiment from my JustRite Autumn Blessings set:

Cruisin' in the Batmobile

I wanted to play some more with this fun witch from my OCL Holiday Cruiser set. This time I put her in a yellow batmobile complete with bats flying around.....okay okay, I know, the batmobile isn't yellow. Let's pretend it is! {wink}

I stamped the witch and car in black craft ink and heat embossed with clear EP. The image is watercolored with markers and reinkers. The edges were sponged with pumpkin pie ink, and the panel is glued down with foam tape. The Basic Grey Eerie DP, bats, and mesh ribbon are all from my TE Halloween Key Ingredients. Fun stuff!

The layout is Weekend Sketch 98...well, except I left off the circle/flower element.

Here's the inside where I stamped a broom from the Holiday Cruiser set. The broom was colored with Prisma pencils. This set is SOOO versatile...Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all in one set. I'll be back in the next few days with something using that fun turkey from the set.

Cruisin' Witch

Hey there! I made a card for this month's OCL Sketch. You're all welcome to play....and if you make something and upload it by September 25th, you'll be entered to win something! {smile}

I used my OCL Holiday Cruiser set for my card. The main matted panel is up on foam tape and it's faux stitched with my piercing tool and a black Spica glitter pen. The image was colored with Prisma Pencils and blended with gamsol.

Speaking of faux stitching....I asked my DH for a Janome Sew Mini for Christmas so I can add some REAL sewing on my cards. I have no idea how to sew but I've seen a couple great tutorials so hopefully I can learn. Seriously, the last time I used a sewing machine was when I was in middle school and we had to make a pillow and a baseball t-shirt (both of which came out butt ugly, let me tell ya!). So anyway, more on that in a few months.....

Here's the inside of the card. The Trick or Treat sentiment is also from my OCL Holiday Cruiser set:

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: OCL Holiday Cruiser
Paper: PTI True Black, White, Prism Intense Amethyst, Basic Grey Eerie DP
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Black Spica Glitter Pen
Accessories: Prisma Pencils, Gamsol, Piercing Tool, Foam Tape, Martha Stewart Spider Web Punch, Purple Bling from Mike's

Have a wickedly wonderful day (sorry, couldn't resist)!

Awwww, isn't this little puppy CAAA-UTE?! This Christmas card is most DEFINITELY going to my cousin, Kim.....dog groomer and absolute dog fanatic. I think she'll just love this little guy. He's in the new HoHo Hollydays set from Angels Landing.

I sized the image on the computer and printed it on PTI Select White, colored it with prismas and Gamsol, glued down some red Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the holly, and added some OCL Sugar Sparkly Fluff to his hat. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this wide striped ribbon? Awesome stuff!

Jolly Follies

Hey everybody and Happy Sunday!

Yesterday we had my husband's company picnic and didn't get home 'til late. This morning I went to the gym, stopped by Target to buy some more school pants for my daughter, came home and went STRAIGHT to my craft table to make something for the Fall-to Layout Challenge (love this challenge each week). Now we're just relaxing in front of the TV watching the race...ahhhh, feels good to have a lazy Sunday afternoon at home.

Anywhooo, I'm rambling. Onto my card. The main image is from my Penny Black Jolly Follies clear set and the sentiment is from my JustRite Christmas Joy set. The long deckled rectangle was sponged with Saffron and Rust ink, and it's up on foam tape. I added some Gold Stickles to highlight the bells, and glued down some red mini rhinestones on the holly with a small dot of Diamond Glaze. The DP is MME Merry Days of Christmas.

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Smooch

Hey everyone! Each month half of us on the Baker's Dozen will be featuring a specific product, and this month Smooch is the center of attention! I'm featuring it today along with Taylor, Dawn, Jackie, Karen M., Laurie, and Sankari.

I made two cards to show you today using the Grape Soda Smooch...but I'll get to my cards in a minute. First, I want to share some info on the product in case you're like me and you haven't tried this stuff yet.

I saw a picture of the Smooch bottles in Taylor's store and on blogs when CHA was going on. To me, they look like fun little nail polish bottles so I think I pictured a typical brush tip and liquidy paint that would take long to dry. Nope! Not the case at all! The tip of the applicator is firm and pointed like a felt-tip marker and the pearly/shimmery paint doesn't drip off the applicator. It's just wet enough to paint up a full stamped image or you could use it to highlight certain areas of an image....I did both of these things on my cards below. Oh, and the paint dries pretty quickly too! Love that!

Okay, so onto my cards. The balloons on this first card were colored with Copics and I used the Smooch only on the balloon strings and along the lower right side as an accent. The balloons (from my Beary Special Accessories set) are paper toled, three layers, on Taylor's foam tape.

On the next card, the balloons are also paper toled three layers deep, but this time I completely painted the balloons with the Grape Soda Smooch...very pearly and shimmery! I also added some sponging behind the balloons and used DP instead of a white panel.

The 3/8" Orchid Satin Ribbon and birthday sentiment from Year of Sweet Sentiments are also in the TE Store.

**SALE**
For today and tomorrow (9/16 & 9/17), Taylor is offering a 15% discount on the I Want It All New Smooch item.

After seeing all of Dawn's CUUUUUUUTE Sugarplum cards lately, I couldn't resist and HAD to get some digi images. I decided to download this one (and I may go back for more, LOL!).

She's printed on kraft and colored with prisma pencils. The main matted image is up on foam tape and so is the large panel on the card base. The layout is Mercy's Sketch 38 from last Tuesday (yeah, I know, way to be on the ball, Denise). On the inside, I added a sentiment that says "Happy Fall, Y'all"....sorry, I couldn't get a clear picture for some reason.
