CTD227 Little Love Note

Hi there, I'm back with a card for this week's Color Throwdown.  Lynn is our hostess this week and she picked some very sweet colors for us. Check them out...

The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #86.  The main image is called "Snuggle" by Penny Black and it's popped up on foam tape.  I added a bit of Stickles to the hearts and grass, too. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps.

FTTC205 Vintage

Hi everyone!  It's Timeless Tuesday time and Amanda is our hostess this week. She's challenging us to make a vintage card.  Here's what I came up with...

I used Inside and Outside You from Flourishes, papers from MME Sweetest Thing-Lavender, and the card base is classic ivory CS.  For the vintage theme, I added some maching stitching, ivory crochet lace ribbon, a button, and sponged the edges of the heart with ink.  I think that makes it vintage, right?  I hope!  :)  Oh, and the heart is up on foam tape.

CTD226 With Love

Hi there! I'm hosting this week's challenge on the Color Throwdown Blog.  Here are the colors I picked for us...

I love purple and green together so I hope you'll find them fun for this week's challenge.  Here's the card I came up with...

Pretty straight-forward and CAS card.  The hearts are up on foam tape and so is the largest embossed panel that's against the card base.

FTTC204 Moon & Back

Hi there and happy Tuesday.  Hope your weekend was good and your work week is off to a good start.  Our weekend was busy with my husband's work holiday party (yeah, they decided to have it in January when people had more "time" for it), paying bills, cleaning....and my youngest got the stomach bug that's going around. Boo!  Thankfully, she's better now though. I hate when kids are sick.  :(  Anywhoooooo, it's Timeless Tuesday time so let me get onto card talk here.  ;)

Cindy is our hostess this week and she's challenging us to make cards with a circle, a fishtail flag, and pearls. Here's what I came up with...

I used one of the newest sets from Flourishes; it's called Just My Type.  Papers are MME Ooh La La For Her. The main panel was stamped on Classic Ivory with Versafine Onyx Black, and the panel is up on foam tape.  I sewed around all the patterned papers and added light pink pearl swirls.

CTD225 You Make My World Happy

Check out Kerri's colors for this week's Color Throwdown!...

Eeeek, so fun! Love Love LOVE them, Kerri!

Here's what I came up with...

I actually had ALL the SU colors for a change (yay me!), so I didn't use any DP.  I figured since I had the CS, I should use it.  :)  The Pretty in Pink panel is embossed with SU's hounds tooth embossing folder. The Melon and Pumpkin scallops were made with a MFT die.  Stamps are "Being Cute is What I Do" from MFT and the PI girl is colored with Copics (Hair: E49, YR14, YR16, YR21  Skin: E00, E11, E13  Shirt: R81, R83, R85  Pants: E41, E42, E43  Shoes: E35 Floor: W1 and W3  Flower on the Shirt: YR16, YR21).  Some machine stitching and kraft string finishes it all off.

FTTC203 Valentine's Roses

Hi there! It's Timeless Tuesday time and Broni is our hostess this week. She's challenging us to use colors from the Poppy, Emerald and Rich Brown Collections.  Great color combo, Broni!  Here's what I came up with...

I used the brand new "Roses are Red" set that was just released by Flourishes last week. Gorgeous set!  The image was stamped on Classic Ivory in Memento Black and colored with Copics (Roses: R20, R22, R24, R27 and R29  Leaves: G21, G40  Background:  BG10, BG11 and BG13).  Little white dots were added around the image and Stickles were added to the roses.   There's a close-up below.

The ivory and brown "blossoms" were cut with Spellbinders dies and each one is up on a separate layer of foam tape. The DP is Quite Contrary by MME.

CTD224 Floppy Bunny

Hi everyone! It's Color Throwdown time and Lori is our hostess this week.  These colors she picked are so sweet...

Here's my card...

The stamp is Floppy Bunny by Whipper Snapper Designs, it's colored with Copics (0, Y00, G21, G40, V12, V15, V17, R20, R81, R83, and R85), and I added some Stickles to the bunny's tail.

FTTC202 "New"

Hello there. I'm hosting this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge and it's a theme of anything "new".....use some new stamps, make a card that says "happy new year," or take an old card of yours and make it new by remaking it with some changes/improvements.....interpret the word "new" however you wish!

I made a 4.25" square card using "happy new year" stamps from Inside and Out Happy, some classic ivory and kraft CS, a green adhesive pearl, some moss green seam binding, papers from MME Ooh La La (thank you, sweet Carol, for finding some more for me!!), and a new (to me) embossing folder from SU.

CTD223 Winter Thank You

Love these colors that Joan has picked for us this week. To me, they're so perfect for masculine birthday or thank you cards.  Check them out...

Here's my card...

I pulled out my fun Papertrey dies (dies are so fun, aren't they?), paired them up with a "thank you" sentiment from Flourishes' "Inside and Out Thank You" set that was just released in Deceber, and did some embossing on the snow and tree (using some new toys from SU).  Some dew drops (yes, I know they're old, but I still love them) and twine finishes it all off.

My "close" colors used were SU Kiwi, SU Crumb Cake, SU Vanilla, and Prism Paper Tawny Dark.
