I've been waiting for this!!

Hey all, I have something REALLY cool to share with you today! I've been asking my oldest daughter to draw up a sketch of herself (forEVER) and this weekend she surprised me with the finished drawing!! YAYYYYYY...I'm so excited!!

I posted some of her other artwork on my blog in the past...HERE is a sketch she did of her little sister, HERE is a drawing that was featured in an art show during her senior year (also of her little sister's feet and hands), and you're all familiar with that cute peanut bee character that's up in my blog banner....she did that too.

Here she is along with her self portrait. I think she did a FANTASTIC job!

    Denise, Very nice! I have to tell you that my grandmother also drew pictures of herself, and they are our families' most prized possessions! Please keep every sketch...and someday your daughter's grandchildren may be writing the same thing!

    Wow you aren't kidding. I think she needs to design her own stamp line. I love this. I think a self portrait has got to be very difficult. Super job.

    Wow, that is amazing!! I've always been jealous of people with artistic talent. My best friend is HS *always* was chosen to design the yearbook cover. Anyway, she's beautiful & looks just like you!!

    Oh Denise, how very proud you must be! Her sketch is fabulous, and most definitely worthy of framing! And what a gorgeous girl she is! Can you bottle some of that talent and send it my way? LOL!

    I'm SO impressed with your daughter's artistic talent! Her drawings are incredible and her portrait looks exactly like her! Both of your daughters are so pretty, and you have every right to be a proud mom! I can feel your pride shining right through this computer:)

    WOW-what UNBELIEVABLE TALENT!!! Tell her its completely and absolutely beautiful artist work! :) She seriously should be submitting her work for publication. And in addition, she should most definitely be designing and illustrating artwork for you! We can call your new STAMP company:

    From someone who took art class in high school and realized at that point that I wouldn't be able to make a living from it... I truly appreciate the talent that your daughter has!     amazing---it is so hard to do portraits and hers looks exactly like her.
