Seaside Inspiration

I just got this new Crafty Secrets Seaside clear set. I love it!!! My card today follows Roxie's Sketch Challenge #SC173...I just had to flip the sketch so the horizontal image would fit....she said flipping was okay. I double checked! {smile} The theme and colors were inspired by Beate's Inspiration Challenge #10...Beate's picture can be seen below. Are those great colors, or what??!!

I used the shaving cream technique to get the watercolor feel in Beate's inspiration piece. The reinker colors I used in the shaving cream were Marigold Morning, Wild Wasabi, Basic Brown (which I think is actually now hidden with the "friend" sentiment), and Cool Caribbean. The main image was water colored with reinkers and ink pads. The sentiment was glued behind the main image, and then the whole panel was put up on dimensionals.

Here's Beate's Inspiration Piece...

Recipe ~
Stamps: Craft Secrets Seaside (medium), Gina K Kindred Greetings for Her
Paper: Chocolate Chip, White, Glossy White, Cool Caribbean
Ink: Basic Brown, Creamy Caramel, Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: American Crafts polka dot ribbon, dimensionals, glue dot (for ribbon)
Technique: Shaving Cream, Watercoloring

Thanks for stopping by my blog...come back again soon!
