Birthday Jolinne

Hi all and happy Sunday! I made this card for my niece, who will be turning six in a couple weeks. Isn't this Birthday Balloon Jolinne stamp the sweetest? She's available at Stamper's Dream along with a bunch of the newest releases from My Favorite Things, including the adorable Pure Innocence line. Love her little face and the way she's sitting *criss-cross applesauce*....as my 5-year-old would say, lol!

The Jolinne image includes the three balloons you see on the left. Since my niece is turning six, I stamped three more to make a total of six. They're all stamped on some new My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Papers (Mary Mary and Little Boy Blue). The angled panel is up on foam tape and so are the three balloons on the right. Before gluing them down, I ran some green waxed linen thread behind them and secured them to the card with a small strip of Scor Tape and a green brad. I also added some Baby Blue Stickles to her necklace to look like my niece's aquamarine birthstone. The sentiment and the largest panel sitting on the card base are also up on foam tape.

Have a GREAT day and thanks so much for stopping by!

JR Week - Kindness

Good morning! Today Amy, Laurie, Tosh and I have more JustRite projects to share with you.

This time I used JustRite's brand new Joyful Hearts and paired it up with some background stamping with a floral image in the My Garden set. I added Platinum Stickles to the centers of the flowers and randomly in the vine underneath the sentiment. The white Kindness oval and the pink oval behind it are both up on foam tape. The ruffled May Arts ribbon framing the large oval is also new from Stamper's Dream and Michelle has it in a variety of pretty colors. The images were stamped in Memento Cocoa and the card base is Prism Razzleberry Light.

The layout is Weekend Sketch #90 from Laurie.

Be sure to check Dawn, Michelle and Cindy's blogs tomorrow to see their JR projects. Thanks for stopping by!

JR Week - Sew Many Buttons

Hi all, and welcome to another JustRite Week with me and the Stamper's Dream Team. Carolyn, Amy, Dawn and Laurie started off the week yesterday, and today Cindy, Tosha, Michelle and I are showing you some more projects with the newest JustRite stamps. Be sure to stop by all their blogs to check out their awesome projects!

My card today features the new Stitched with Love set. Ohhhh, this is such a sweet set! I paired it up with some Farm Fresh DP, stamped the heart and sentiment in Memento Cocoa, popped the extra heart and scallop circle up on foam tape, and of course added some machine stitching and buttons (with brown string threaded through the holes) to go with the theme of the stamp set. Too fun! The layout is Jen del Muro's SFYTT from Feb. 13th and the colors were inspired by the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger from last week.

Here's the schedule for the rest of JR Week:

Wednesday: Silke, Carolyn, Tosha and Michelle
Thursday: Amy, Laurie, and me
Friday: Dawn, Michelle and Cindy

Have an awesome day!

Sponged Sky

Hi all! Quick post today because I seriously need to get crackin' on work for this week....I'm so behind! I wanted to try Jeanne's Sponged Sky Technique and I thought these new dandelions and silhouette's from my OCL Dandy Days set would be perfect for it. I added some Waterfall Stickles randomly on the dotted parts of the images. The white panel with the ribbon is up on foam tape, and so is the large sponged panel that's sitting against the card base.

Here's the inside:

Have a GREAT day, all!

Brand New Sketch Challenge

Hey all! For all the sketch junkies (like me), there's a brand-spankin' new challenge you can join in on. Every Friday on the OCL Blog, there will be a sketch posted with a Mr. Linky box at the bottom for you to link all your creations. Sound fun? I think so!

Our first challenge was just posted today and here's the card I made for it. It was a fun sketch that Broni came up with. My bunny and sentiment are from Hoppin' Into Spring, one of the most recent sets released at CHA. The bunny panel, scallop mat panel behind it, and the sentiment are all up on separate layers of foam tape. I colored the bunny with Copics and added little accents with my Diamond and Waterfall Stickles.

See the *leaves* (or maybe you think they look more like bunny ears??...yeah, I think they could pass for bunny ears) behind the button and sentiment? I used one of those sparkly white flowers from Michael's, you know those flowers that are found in the wedding isle? Hehe, I thought they made cute leaves (or bunny ears) behind the flower button.

I hope you'll join in on the OCL sketch. If you do, be sure to add your info to the Mr. Linky box. Have a great day!

Paper: White

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

Chocolate Cherries

Hey all! So, was that THE longest NASCAR race you ever saw yesterday or what? I thought for sure my boy Kevin was gonna win but it just didn't happen....oh well, it was definitely a fun race to watch regardless. My valentine's day was wonderful too....DH bought me my beloved chocolate covered strawberries from Gertrude & Hawk....yumo! What a good man he is!

Since I guess I'm still in *chocolate mode* I thought I'd play with my Sweet Chocolate set and Espresso Liquid Pearls again. One set of cherries is stamped in Memento Cocoa on the ivory circle and a second was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I also added some Eucalyptus Stickles to the leaves. I followed Fall-to Layout 78 from the CAS blog.

Have a great day!

Surprise Blog Hop for Michelle

Hi all and welcome! Tosh had this awesome idea to surprise Michelle with a blog hop today to send her some get well wishes. Surprise, Michelle! We love ya and hope you're recovering well.

If you've come here by way of Cammie's blog, then you're right on track with the hop. To start at the beginning, head on over to Tosh's blog.

I stamped my Just a Note sentiment and Breath of Spring image in black craft ink, then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. The leaves were watercolored with a #249 Hunter Green Tombow Marker, the petals and bow were watercolored with Melon Mambo, and the blue highlighting was done with Bashful Blue. The oval is up on foam tape. I stamped, embossed and watercolored an extra bow from the tulip stamp, cut it out, and added it to the main panel with another layer of foam tape. The ivory panel was embossed with my Spellbinders Butterfly Impressabilities die. The card base is Prism Baby Pink Light.

Okay, next up in the hop is Miss Cindy! Head on over and check her out!

Just in case you get lost along the way, here's the full order of the hop:

Tosh

Have fun hoppin' !

Lotsa Snow!

Yay, we love all this snow!

...I love it so much, I think I'll give it a hug...

My favorite thing to do is slide down the "mountains" that Daddy made with the snow blower...

{taps paw impatiently}...hey, when will you be done taking pics so the kid can play again? Hmm?

Chocolate Strawberries...

....oh my word, if there's ONE treat that I go absolutely nutsy over, it's chocolate covered strawberries. Mmmmmmm, so good! Well, Michelle sent me this ADORABLE new Sweet Chocolate set from My Cute Stamps and I couldn't wait to play...especially with this chocolate strawberry stamp. She also sent me some Espresso Pearls, which were just perfect (and fun!) for the chocolate.

Today's CCEE Challenge from Charlene is an inspiration challenge using photos from the Imagekind site. I chose this picture as my inspiration:

For my card I put the embossed polka dot panel on foam tape, the square strawberry panel up on a second layer, and a third strawberry was cut out and put up on a third layer. I threaded some green waxed thread through the large square panel and stamped some extra hearts in the corners in Memento Cocoa. The Sweet Wishes sentiment is stamped in Versamagic Spanish Olive. The hearts, strawberries, and leaves were colored with Copics.

Here's the inside:

Here's a close-up of the Espresso Pearls. Love this stuff!

Thanks for stopping by!

JR Thank You Cards

Hi all! Boy, are we getting HAMMERED with snow. It's CRAZY! We woke up to about 8 or 9 inches and they're calling for a total of 18 inches by this evening...this is all on top of the 18 inches we got in the last snowstorm this past weekend. In case you're wondering, I do NOT like snow, lol! Anyhooo...

I made 25 of these thank you cards using my Just a Note 1-5/8" set from Stamper's Dream. I was inspired by this pretty card that Dawn made. I love the simple layout with the rounded corners and focus on the circle sentiment. I love how she did her ribbon too. Next time when I don't have so many cards to make, I want to try a ribbon treatment like she did.

Have a great day!

Poofy Flower

Yesterday's Featured Stamper on SCS was Barb Anders (whoo-hoo, love her!) and this is the gorgeous card of hers that I chose to CASE. I loved the big poofy flower and have been dying to make one of these, the polka dots, and the use of kraft. I switched out the green for red, did some background stamping on the large kraft panel, used different stamps, and added sewing.

You can see Dawn McVey's video tutorial HERE on how to make the poofy flowers. Fun!

Have a great day, everyone...and CONGRATS to Barb!

P.S......Michelle is making another exciting Stamper's Dream announcement on her blog today! Be sure to stop by and check it out! {big smile}

The Vanity Table and Fill Your Day stamps are by Impression Obsession and they're available at Stamper's Dream. I added some silver Stickles to the earrings on the table and on the mirror.

Oh man, did we ever get SNOW last night!....and it's still coming down. There HAS to be over a foot of snow out there. It's a perfect day to stay inside, drink hot chocolate, stamp, and watch the Bud Shootout later tonight.

I saw this FUN Inspirations sketch on my friend Dawn's blog and just had to try it...and she totally inspired me to use my Farm Fresh DP again. Love what she does with the DP! The polka dot panel is up on foam tape and the chicken, from Anna Wight's Crazy For Chickens set, was colored with Copics.

I won't be taking pics out there anytime soon, lol!
