Sweet Stop Sketch 110

Happy Saturday and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Whooo-hoooo! Are you doing anything fun? My husband decided to start staining our deck yesterday, which led to taking down the lattice panels that were old and ugly, replacing it all with new plain boards, taking down flower boxes...yadda yadda...you know how it goes...one simple project turns into TEN, lol! I'm going to give him a hand with it today though and hopefully help him finish it all up. :) So anyhoooo....onto my Sweet Stop Sketch card.....

This sketch totally threw me for a while and it took a couple tries to actually get a card made. I tried to use ribbons for those three vertical elements in the background, but I just couldn't get it to work. I said something to Korin and she suggested paper panels.....viola!....that works! Thanks, Korin. :)

The fair isle pendant square is up on foam tape and I added some Stickles to the smoke coming out of the chimney as well as the flowers in the flower boxes.

Here's Korin's sketch if you'd like to play along...

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an AWESOME weekend!

  14. LOVE this card Denise - it's gorgeous! Love the paper panels too. Love that pendant - I'd quite forgotten about the pendant dies - not sure why as it looks so pretty.

Know what you mean about starting a job that leads to something else and so it keeps on going. I think it's a man-thing 'cos they say, "While I'm here, I may as well do this - and this other thing - and...." Yep: yadda yadda as you said. I can't wait for our "seen better days" decking to be replaced by DH....not! :-)
