Butterfly Dreams

Wow, are we ever having some freaky hot weather this week! They're calling for a high of 104 degrees on Friday....yeee-ikes! I took Kara to Build a Bear Workshop this afternoon...figured it'd be best to just stay in the air conditioning.

I had time to do a little crafting today too...yay! I think the heat is what made me pull these warm, sunny colors. I die cut the butterflies three times, and popped two up on foam tape.

Hubby is grilling burgers on the grill and they're about done so I'm off to eat. Have a great night....and stay cool!

Stamps: Butterfly Dreams (PTI)
Ink: Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Zest, White
Accessories: Small Scallop Edge Die-namics (MFT), Sewing Machine, Butterfly Dreams die (PTI), Baker's Twine, Foam Tape, Kaiser Craft Pearls (colored with YR65 Copic), Gingham Ribbon

  4. What a cute card! Love the colours and the butterfly image. Darling touch with the twine bows.

We have had rain, rain and more rain for about 7 months now but I think I'd rather that than your high temps!

  14. Beautiful and sweet, Denise. What a wonderful card. Wish that you could send some of the heat up to Seattle. We have had the coldest summer that I can remember and rain rain and more rain. We might hit 65 degrees today, but it drops into the 40's at night!! brrrrrrrrr

  21. Whew - so hot where you are! It's 40 deg F where I am and raining, raining..... What I would give to be basking in the sun's warmth right now instead of surrounded by racks of wet undies and socks hugging the heater....sigh...even my cat is complaining! Still: the next best thing is basking in the warmth of your gorgeous card - LOVE the colours and love the dimension on the butterfly. Reminds me of a tropical fruit punch drink in a tall glass filled with crushed ice and one of those fabby little umbrellas.

    Keep cool :-)
