FTTC194 Silhouettes

Hi everyone!  We made it through Hurricane Sandy just fine. We did lose power for three days, but we had a generator to run the fridge, flush toilets, heat water for the shower, etc., and our coal/wood stove kept us warm. We also didn't have ANY damage...so relieved that none of our trees fell.  I know others weren't so fortunate and my heart goes out to those people. I really hope repairs can be made fairly quickly for them and that the ones who are without power are able to keep warm.

It's Timeless Tuesday time and Maki is our hostess this week. She's challenging us to make a card/project using silhouette stamps.

For my card, I used stamps from Country Road and Sentimental Favorites, stamped the main image on Classic Ivory and popped the square up on foam tape, and added some yellow twine.  The card measures 4" square and the layout is (pretty much) Deconstructed Sketch #76.  Papers are Quilting Bee by My Mind's Eye.

Be sure to stop by the Timeless Tuesday blog for all the details of the challenge and, of course, you can find even more inspiration by hopping around to see what the rest of the FTTC girls have created for you....

  9. Denise,
Glad to hear you and your family are OK. It's really bad in some places I've seen on TV. Your card is so cute I love roosters and the way you showcased this one is adorable.

  14. We have been away on a twelve day cruise & were so out of touch that we knew nothing about Sandy! Still only have sketchy details ... Because it is old news now! But I am glad to hear you are all safe & sound! This card has such a wonderful country feel! Hugs xxx
