I just got this Sentiment Flags set/die from Lil' Inker Designs and was anxious to try it out. I think I'll get a lot of use out of this one! I paired it up with some of my Penny Black ducks. :) The colors on my card are from the CR84FN Challenge 34.

Butterfly Dreams

Wow, are we ever having some freaky hot weather this week! They're calling for a high of 104 degrees on Friday....yeee-ikes! I took Kara to Build a Bear Workshop this afternoon...figured it'd be best to just stay in the air conditioning.



I had time to do a little crafting today too...yay! I think the heat is what made me pull these warm, sunny colors. I die cut the butterflies three times, and popped two up on foam tape.

Hubby is grilling burgers on the grill and they're about done so I'm off to eat. Have a great night....and stay cool!

Watermelon Patch

Hey there! I can't believe it's Monday already. I wanted to play with Karen G's Sweet Sunday Sketch and found this totally FORGOTTEN Josephine stamp that has never seen ink....why?...I have no idea why I've never inked it because I love it! I think I got it from Michelle at Stamper's Dream....umm....last summer?? Yeah, something like that. Anyway, since it's a forgotten stamp, I'm going to also enter the card into Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge. Very cool idea for a challenge, I might add, Jessie. :)



The main matted image is up on foam tape and I added some Stickles to the watermelon slice, hat band, and knife.

Flourishes Sketchy Challenge

Hello all! TGIF??....TGIF! My SUPER sweet friend Silke sent me this gorgeous Flourishes set for my birthday and I couldn't wait to ink it up. Thanks, gf, I really love it!



I thought I'd try my hand at winning the entire Flourishes release (hey, you never know unless you try, right?) and play along in their Sketchy Challenge. The main image is up on foam tape, Stickles were added to the pink bow, and Diamond Glaze was added to the tip of the pen. The punched sentiment is also up on foam tape.

Sweet Stop Sketch 116

Wow, guys, it's been over two weeks since I posted my little announcement. I guess I needed a serious break, huh? Anyhooooo, I have a couple days off from work (yay!) so I went for a run (not a pretty one either...this heat is killing me!) this morning and then made this card. I'm TOTALLY out of practice on making cards. I started it this morning and it took me until this afternoon to get it finished (hmmm....slow going just like my running)....but anyway, here it is....



I used Ocean Paradise from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. Such a gorgeous set, Korin! The main panel and sentiment are up on foam tape and the layout is Sweet Stop Sketch 116. I added Stickles to the water and sand.

Here's the inside where I stamped the sentiment onto a sticker from my Seaside DP pack.....



Okay, now we're off to the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Have a WONDERFUL day...and stay cool! It's in the 90's here today....YIKES!
