Get Well Soon

Hi everyone! Wow, it's been a whole week since I've had any stamping time.....hair appointment, doctor's appointment, gymnastics, kid sitting, work, a birthday party, sick kiddo, grocery shopping....busy busy. This morning I went out to breakfast with two of my girlfriends (fun!) and when I got home, I got to work on this card here. Ahhhh, felt good to make a card!

A family member will be coming home from the hospital this week and I wanted to make a card for him. Papers are Quite Contrary Jack & Jill by MME, sentiment is from Flourishes, stars are from Spellbinders, the ribbon die from MFT was scored to get the banner effect, and the red star is up on foam tape. Here's a close-up so you can see the dimension...

The card measurse 4.25" square and there's a little sewing around the outside of the patterned papers. Oh, and the ribbon is from PTI.

Okay, that's it for me today. I'm headed down to the kitchen to make chicken pot pie....the kind with a crust!....my favorite! Will you be watching the Superbowl tonight? We're not real big football fans (gasp, right?), but I'm sure it'll end up on TV at some point....even if it's just to catch some of the commercials.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Totally LOVE this sweet card! Especially the way you added the sentiment banner over the star! What?? You don't love those tight ends in football - lol? I'm a big fan and was bummed I had to work last evening. I had my iPad 2 livestreaming the game and got to see a good bit of it since it was slow. My Giants won, so I was happy! :-)

Nicely done! I know what you mean when you say it feels good to make a card. It had been a while for me too. I forgot how therapeutic it can be. Need to make some more...

Gorgeous card with that raised sentiment! I'm not a football fan either, but we watched the SB. The VW commercial was hysterical with the overweight, out-of-shape dog! We roared! And did you catch the Bridgestone ad with the curved football throw? I thought my DH would die laughing over that one :)
