Trio of Hearts

I'm back with another "heart card." This one was inspired by this card that I saw on Pinterest by a lady with the screen name "outsidechic." I loved the cluster of hearts with the line of sewing/faux sewing. Here's my spin on it....

Papers are by Stampin' Up, hearts were cut with MFT Die-namics, I drew in a light pencil line for the machine stitching and then erased the line, and added some small twine bows to the ends of the stitching. The sentiment (also from MFT) was stamped on the yellow DP and placed behind the kraft panel through the word window punch. The whole kraft panel is up on foam tape.

Here's the inside where I added more die-cut hearts...

Have an awesome Saturday!

Rainbows and Hearts

Hey there! Long time no craft, huh? Seems to be the norm for me lately. Priorities, you know?....seems like there's always something more important to get done than crafting.....but today I MADE time! I was totally inspired by this awesome card by Jen del Muro and couldn't wait to play with my MFT heart dies and make a card.

Actually I've pinned at LEAST four "heart cards" on my Pinterest board lately....so you may just be seeing more hearts and rainbow cards from me. :)

As I mentioned, the hearts were cut out with MFT heart Die-namics. The papers are a mix of Imaginisce, Stampin' Up, Cosmo Cricket, and (I believe) My Mind's Eye. The orange and blue hearts are taped onto the white panel with adhesive. The red, yellow, green and purple hearts as well as the punched sentiment (by Stampin' Up) are up on foam tape.

Hope you're having a great day!

More Nature Babies

Oh and how I LOOOOVE this raccoon and squirrel....especially the raccoon. He stole my heart!

The digi image is from Nature Babies 2 from Angel's Landing and the sentiment is from my MFT Essential Sentiments clear set. The main panel is up on foam tape and the punched sentiment is up on a second layer of foam. The animals were colored with Copics and I added the grass by hand. The Copics I used were G20, YG03, YG63, YG67, E31, E41, E42, E43, E51, W1, W3, W5, and W7. The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch #154. Papers are On the Bright Side-Two by My Mind's Eye.

So how's your weekend? We went to see The Lorax (cuuuute!) yesterday and today Kara is having one of her friend's over for a play date. I plan to watch the race in the kitchen while I get some food prepped for the week (salads, hard boiled eggs, etc....we're starting a new diet this week so I just need to have stuff ready to grab and snack on).

Have a great Sunday!

Nature Babies

Hi everyone! Man, this week got away from me....again. I had planned to do lots of stamping on Sunday, but it didn't work out. I FINALLY got to my craft table last night after everyone went to bed and made this card. The digi image is from Nature Babies 1 from Angel's Landing.

Love this little duckling and chick! Too cute! Next up I want to play with Nature Babies 2....I think that raccoon is calling my name. :) The die-cut sentiment (sentiment from Our Craft Lounge and die from Lil' Inker Designs) is up on foam tape. The square and scallop square panels are also up on separate layers of foam tape. I added dots of Stickles around the image for some sparkle and the layout is Mojo Monday Sketch 232. Papers are Howdy Doody by My Mind's Eye. Copics were used to color the image, and I pretty much followed Judi's coloring guide on what Copics to use. I had to do a little substituting, as I didn't have all of the ones she mentioned, but I got pretty close. I used Y00, Y11, Y21, YR00, YR14, YR15, YR21, G20, YG03, YG63, and YG67.

That's it for me today.....short and sweet....I gotta get to work.

Have a really great day!

Floppy Bunny

Hi all! How's your Saturday going? I went to breakfast this a.m. with Carol (had a REALLY great time), came home and helped hubby strip the rec room floor, went to yoga, and now we're just going to relax for the rest of the night.

I've had this Whipper Snapper Floppy Bunny image colored up for about a week now and finally made it into a card this morning before I left for breakfast. The CAS layout is just something I threw together using scraps. Not sure if I'm totally in love with it, but it'll do. The sentiment is up on foam tape and I made it on the computer.

We just got some new living room furniture. We still have a plaid chair/ottoman and two plaid pillows coming (in 6-8 weeks), but this is what we have so far. I'm so excited!

...and last night we went to PetSmart to buy Rusty his OWN new piece of "furniture" so he stays off our new stuff. He's NOT happy about it.....you should see the dejected look he keeps giving us because he soooo wants to get up on the couch. He's been allowed on the furniture for 12 years....so this new "rule" will take some getting used to. :)

Have a great night!

Aww thanks!

Ahhhh, I'm lovin' today. It's been so productive! I went for a run, we had half of our furniture delivered (we have to wait 6-8 weeks for the rest....ugh, patience is not my thing), I banged out my work, did a 12-minute sculpting workout, AND made this card....

As soon as I saw this image, I had to have it! It's one of the Lilli Claire images from Tiddly Inks and it's called "Aww Thanks." She was fun to color! The layout is the March Sketch For You To Try, the sentiment was made on the computer with the Pristina font and it's up on foam tape, Stickles were added to the bouquet of flowers, and I added some machine stitching.

Looking forward to this weekend! I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm going out to breakfast tomorrow with Carol Longacre.....as long as Mother Nature cooperates. She has ruined our last TWO breakfasts with snow so I hope she behaves herself tomorrow. :)

What are you up to this weekend?

Fairy Sweet

Hey there! Did you see yesterday's race? Kevin was SOOOOOO close to winning. I hate when races come down to fuel mileage. Oh well....2nd place is still an awesome finish for him.

My friend Dawn sent me this stamp (ETA: here's the link to the stamp) a while ago and I finally got a chance to color it during the race yesterday. This morning while waiting for the doctor to call me back with an appointment time (Kara has ANOTHER ear infection....now in the other ear....oye!), I made it into a card. The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #41, the main panel is up on foam tape, and I added Stickles to the wings along with a little coloring with a BG11 Copic. Here's a close-up...

(I'm not happy with the "faux stitching" I added to the sentiment....but oh well.....by the time I added it, the whole card was glued down. There was no going back since I did that as the VERY last thing).

Have a great Monday!

Simply Wonderful Birthday

I made this card for Mojo Sketch #230 using stamps from MFT ("die-namics polka dot greetings"). The die-cut sentiment is up on foam tape and I added machine stitching all around the DP circle and the scalloped panel.

That's it for me this morning. Have an awesome Saturday!

Lucky Stars

Hi all! TGIF!

I made this card for the Week 4 Viva la Verve Sketch. The stamped sentiment is from Verve's Starlight Starbright Remixed, both stars are up on separate layers of foam tape, and papers On the Bright Side-One by My Mind's Eye.

So what are you up to this weekend? K has a sleepover to go to, so hubby and I are just going to have some relaxing time at home, maybe work on more stuff in the rec room, and I think I'll craft some more. :)

Have a great day!

Happy Bird-day

I made this card for a little girl who will be turning 7 next week.

The layout is MFT Sketch #60 from the SCS forum and the stamp/sentiment is from my "You're So Tweet" set.

....I really need to invest in a doily die. I bought these paper doilies from Mike's and they just DON'T match up to CS at all. On white CS, they look off-white....on off-white CS, they look white. Oye! Oh well, until I buy a die, they'll have to do. :)

Have a great day!

Georgie Cartwheel

Heehee...love the name of this digi image. Too cute! I made this card for one of K's friends who has a birthday coming up in a couple weeks.

The image is called "Georgie Cartwheel" and it's my Mo Manning. I colored the image with Copics and added some grass. The sentiment is from my Penny Black "Critter Party" set. Papers are "On the Bright Side-One" by My Mind's Eye. The layout is last Monday's Mojo Sketch #229.

Have a great Monday!

Celebrate!

Hey all! As promised, I made this card for my friend who got that GREAT news this week. Soooo happy for her!! :)

The cute little girl is Wryn from Tiddly Inks. She was colored with Copics and I printed off the digi image a second time onto DP so I could paper piece her dress. I added Stickles to the bird, her hair clip, sneakers and socks, and popped her up on foam tape. Papers are "On the Bright Side-Two" by My Mind's Eye. The "Celebrate" sentiment is from a misc stamp that I picked up at Mike's and the cool felt is from my good friend Dawn Easton. :) The layout is my spin on Deconstructed Sketch #40.

Hope you have an awesome Saturday!

Here for You

I made this card for another friend who was going through a tough cancer scare. I'm happy to say that this week she got GREAT news that she's cancer FREE! Whew!!!! I think I'll just hold onto this card and make her a different one that says CONGRATS or CELEBRATE or something like that instead. :)

The main image is one of my favorite Sarah Kay stamps from Stampavie. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps. The heart and die-cut ribbon (both from MFT Stamps) are up on foam tape. Stickles were added to the flowers and the little girl's hat for sparkle. The layout is Deconstructed Sketch 39....pretty much (lol!). Papers are Howdy Doody by My Mind's Eye.

Have a really great day, all!

Enjoy your day

...and here's another card for the Viva la Verve sketches. This one is for Week 3.

The stamped sentiment is from my "Big Wish" set. The white star and blue star are both up on foam tape. Papers are "On the Bright Side-One" by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. :)
