Perfect Package Halloween Set

Hi everyone! My Mom asked me to make a set of Halloween cards similar to this card that I made last September. I made her a set of six cards and packaged them all up in one of Taylor's Perfect Package Card Boxes. You can see full photos here on the Stamp a Sweet Impression Blog.

Oh, and a quick update...I'm on week four of my fitness program, and I'm down 7.5 pounds. More importantly though, my pants/shorts are more loose and people are starting to make comments that they can *see* a difference. Yay!

Sweet Angels Landing

Hi all! Here's another card with the Mini Bears and Birds set from Angels Landing. I made this card for Cindy Haffner's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge on SCS. The chocolate and caramel circles behind the main image are each up on separate layers of foam tape. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy.

It's the end of the month, so this will be my last post as a guest designer for Angels Landing....However, it will NOT be the last time I use these sweet images. Judi, thank you so much for inviting me to be your guest designer this month. You've been an absolute pleasure to work with and I've had so much fun working with your images. They're truly beautiful! {{hugs}}

Hey again, I'm back with another card for Susan's (rainy) DTGD Challenge. For this one, I used my new JustRite Witch Way to the Treats Set and 1-3/16" wooden stamper. The natural plaid ribbon was tied with my Bow Easy, and I added some orange stickles to the pumpkin's eyes, mouth, and dots above the leaves. The card base is Prism Intense Amethyst.

Take Flight

Here's a card I made for Susan Roberts' and Bonnie Sharp's DTGD challenges on SCS (I accidentally posted this to my blog before I was supposed to, so I had to delete it and reschedule it for today. Soooo sorry about that if it's showing up in your Google Reader twice or if you were one of the people that left a comment and now you don't see it...it's because I removed the entire post). Big fat goof-up on my part. The Gina K butterflies are up on foam tape, so is the vertical panel with the brads. The Sunshine brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts...I think they're a great match to the SU Crushed Curry.

Perfect Package Card Box

Have you seen Taylor's new Perfect Package Card Boxes? Seriously, these things are AWESOME...if you try them, you will NOT be sorry. They're so nice and thick, and they fold up without any adhesive, scoring, or anything. Check out Taylor's video tutorial HERE.

I made this box for my daughter, who is going through a tough time right now. All stamps are from Taylored Expressions, everything was stamped in black craft ink and heat embossed with clear EP. I used specific elements on my box to fit in with Jami Bova, Jen del Muro, Laurie Schmidlin and Amy Sheffer's Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.

I left the box empty. I figured she can put it on her dresser or in her nightstand to keep special things that mean a lot to her, jewelry, photos she wants to scrapbook...stuff like that.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: TE Faith & Hope (sentiment), TE Beary Special (bear), TE Beary Special Accessories (flower)
Paper: SU Night of Navy, PTI Dark Chocolate, MME French Flea Market DP, Watercolor Paper

Shimmery Strawberries

Hey all! Here's a card I made for Fall-to Layout 51 and today's Timeless Tuesday challenge, which is to add Shimmerz. Does the sentiment look smeared?...well, it is. Ugh! Note to self: sponge the edges and THEN stamp the sentiment...or be patient and make sure the ink is totally dry on the sentiment before sponging.

I cut out four strawberries and two flowers from a second image to give it the out-of-the-box look. Four strawberries are up on foam tape, the two flowers are just glued down with plain ole' adhesive. The edges of the card base and Labels One panel are sponged with Soft Sky ink. Angel Wings Shimmerz was added to the leaves and strawberries.

Bear Hug

(If you've come to see the OCL Spotlight Set of the Week, scroll down to the next blog post.)

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this sweet bear! He's a digital image from the Mini Bears and Birds set at Angels Landing.

The bear is printed on white CS from the computer, colored with Copics, and sponged with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery inks. I added some Angel Wings Shimmerz in that pink/peach area around his nose and mouth, and added a tiny bit to the centers of the ears. The white scalloped mat is up on foam tape. The layout is SCS Sketch 237 from last Wednesday.

Here's the inside of the card. The "Need a Hug?" sentiment is also from the Mini Bears and Birds set. The tag and white panel are sponged with Bashful Blue ink. The white panel was embossed with the Elegant Bouquet texture plate from SU.

OCL Spotlight Set of the Week

Hi everyone! This week's OCL Spotlight Set of the Week on the OCL Forum is Life's a Beach. It's such a great set for making quick, summery cards that I thought I'd make a set of four cards and package them all up in a PTI clear box. Here's the picture of the cards. The layout is from my awesome fellow OCL-teammate, Charmaine. It was her Weekend Sketch #87 from a few weeks ago:

...and here's the picture of the cards inside the decorated box:

I think I could have fit eight cards in one of these clear boxes, but because I made my bows pretty *floofy* and wanted them to have some room, I just made a total of four cards to fit inside. The sentiment tag is up on foam tape under the bow. I added a small dot of yellow Stickles to the centers of all the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SUPPLY LIST ~

Ink: Memento Cocoa
Accessories: Ribbon, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Foam Tape, Yellow Stickles, Spellbinders Tags Trio, Corner Rounder Punch, Circle Nestabilities, Bow Easy, PTI Clearly Creative Box

Note cards for Mom

My mom will be retiring in August so I made her a gift set of six monogrammed note cards using my new JustRite Damask set from Stamper's Dream. I also decorated up a clear box for her to keep them in. Here's a picture of the clear box. The green circle is Herbal Garden Medium. I added some green mini flower rhinestones above and below the letter L.

There are a total of six cards, two of each design. The layout of all six cards is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. On each card, the white monogram circle and the mat circle behind it are up on separate layers of foam tape. The larger Prism White circles were all embossed with my Butterfly Impressabilities template and then sponged with Pretty in Pink ink. The white scallop border behind the Porcelain DP on all six cards was done with a Victorian Piercabilities die. Bows were tied with my Bow Easy.

Here are pictures of each card. The green mat behind the monogram on this one is Herbal Garden Medium. Green mini flower rhinestones were added above and below the letter L.

On the next one I used clear mini flower rhinestones on the monogrammed circle, and the mat behind it is Baby Pink Light (same as the card bases).

The green mat on the last one is Spring Willow Medium and I used the green mini flower rhinestones again.

I'm sooo tired today! My cousins and I went to the Nickelback concert yesterday in Hershey...AWESOME concert!!! Totally amazing!....we didn't get home until 12:30 and then this a.m. the animals woke me up early to be let out and fed. I'm dragging.....but it's worth it. We had such a great time!

I made this quick card for Fall-to Layout 50 using my Bubs Beaver and Just Bugz sets from Our Craft Lounge. All six circles with the frogs are up on foam tape. You can also get the Just Bugz set at Stamper's Dream.

On the inside of the card I embossed some flowers in the lower right-hand corner with my new SU Elegant Bouquet texture plate. Sorry that I don't have a picture...I couldn't get a clear one.

All this week, the Dream Team has been showing projects using all the new stuff, and there will be more to see tomorrow! The full schedule for this week is at the bottom of this post.

The next one is this bouquet card.

Again, the main image oval and the lavender mat panel behind it are up on separate layers of foam tape. A clear mini flower rhinestone was added to the center of the bow. The bouquet was stamped in black craft ink and heat embossed with clear EP, the floral border was stamped in white craft ink and heat embossed with white EP. The large lavender lace panel that the ribbon is attached to was run through my Cuttlebug with a Spellbinders Butterfly Impressabilities template.

Angels Landing Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Today the Angels Landing team is having a blog hop to show you two new sets, Marching Band 1 and Marching Band 2. If you've come here by way of Alma's blog (Stamping Mutt), then you're right on track with the hop. If you want to start at the beginning of the hop or see the master list, click here on Judi's blog (Angels Landing Digital Stamps).

I used Marching Band 1 on my card today. The main image, music notes, and sentiment on the inside of the card are all part of this new set. I printed the trio of animals on Kraft CS and colored them with prisma pencils and gamsol. The music notes were also printed on Kraft CS and I traced over them with my black spica glitter pen. The sentiment tag and the black matting behind the main image are up on foam tape. The bows were tied with my Bow Easy.

Here's the inside of the card:

SUPPLY LIST ~
Digital Images: Angels Landing Marching Band 1

Okay, now head on over to Cheryl's blog (Sweet Designs by Cheryl) to continue with the blog hop!

Oh!....some quick fitness babble....I got weighed on Monday at the gym and I lost 4 pounds during my first week!! Yay! Have you ever heard of adding a cucumber slice to a glass of water? It was a tip in this week's section of my binder. I just tried it yesterday...It may be more of a smell thing than a taste thing, but I like it! Anything that helps get all that water in, right?

With all the dies, this card came together in less than 20 minutes...gotta love that!

Here's the inside where I added some more piercing with the Victorian Pierceabilities and butterflies with my Martha Stewart 3-in-1 butterfly punch.

Chatty Birds

Hi all! I spent the weekend with my daughter at the beach...ahhhh, the beach! Love it there! I even got up at 6 a.m. yesterday morning and went for a walk along the water...threw in a couple VERY short jogs too (oh my!). I've always wanted to get up early and go for a walk along the water by myself..finally did it! {smile} We did those old-time photos while we were there too, dressing up as flapper girls and posing next to an old car. Too fun! It's funny that my card is all about two birds chatting....it reminds me of ALL the talking my daughter and I did this weekend.

So anyway, today I want to show you another card I made using images from the SUPER adorable Aussie Animals set from Angel's Landing. Can you tell I love this set? It's so cute! Four birds were printed out on PTI white CS, two were cut out and popped up on foam tape. The grey mat circles behind the birds are also up on foam tape. The sentiment was sponged with bashful blue ink.

These birds are called Kookaburras.....isn't that just FUN to say?! Hee! Anyway, I had never heard of them until the fabulously talented Kathy (Wattle) gave me a little Aussie bird lesson after she saw my Angels Landing card last week. Kookaburras are native Austrialian birds, their calls sound like they're laughing (loudly), and they're typically golden brown and white, but some have blue on their wings and tails...oh my, *I'm* very chatty today, huh? Back to the card....

The polka dot frame is a Spellbinders that I got from Taylored Expressions and it's cut/embossed on DP from the June Key Ingredients Subscription Kit. I added a second one on the inside of the card too. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy.

Here's a close-up:
