CTD226 With Love

Hi there! I'm hosting this week's challenge on the Color Throwdown Blog.  Here are the colors I picked for us...

I love purple and green together so I hope you'll find them fun for this week's challenge.  Here's the card I came up with...

Pretty straight-forward and CAS card.  The hearts are up on foam tape and so is the largest embossed panel that's against the card base.

Be sure to hop around to see what the CTD girls have created for you today or you can click on over to the Color Throwdown blog to see everything all in one place.

Party Dress Bookmark

Hope you're not sick of seeing these things from me, but here's another corner bookmark (tutorial can be found HERE). I made this one for my daughter's best friend. She likes green, she's an incredible ballet dancer, and she likes sparkle so this is what I came up with. I haven't inked up this Impression Obsession Party Dress stamp since I was a dirty girl, but man I love it. I think it's SOOO girly and pretty. I added small accents of Diamond Stickles to the ruffled skirt.

Hope your day is awesome!

Let's Celebrate

I don't always get a chance to play along in the FS challenge on SCS, but man-oh-man, I love when I do!....especially when I see cute little cards like this one from Debbie, today's FS! I've never made a Labels One folded card, loved how she placed the images in the corners, and loved her colors so I kept all that the same. I just changed the stamps to my Impression Obsession Celebrate set and used some black gingham ribbon (only because I didn't have red...why don't I have red gingham??....I need to get some). I added a bunch of Gold and Candy Cane Stickles to the stars. The images were stamped in black Versafine ink and colored with Prisma pencils. The Lemon Tart panel is up on foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an awesome Sunday!

IO Week - Love Chandelier

Hi all, I'm back with my second project for Impression Obsession Week along with Leslie, Michelle and Cindy.

The outside of my card today features Impression Obsession's Love Chandelier stamp. The image is stamped on Neenah White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I added some Gold Stickles to the beads under the candles, tied a double-loop bow with my Bow Easy, and stuck a stick pin through the ribbon. The Curved Mega Rectangle that the chandelier is stamped on is up on foam tape.

Here's the inside of the card where I used a sentiment and a heart from my Celebrate clear set (the set that I showed you on Tuesday)....

.....check out those quilted hearts and how they MATCH the one on the outside of the card. I discovered this by accident when I had the different stamps and images sitting on my counter...and I was giddy when I realized that they matched perfectly! (yeah, I'm easily amused I guess, lol!)

That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by Laurie, Silke, Michelle and Tosh's blogs tomorrow for more projects featuring Impression Obsession products!

The Vanity Table and Fill Your Day stamps are by Impression Obsession and they're available at Stamper's Dream. I added some silver Stickles to the earrings on the table and on the mirror.

Ornament Chickadee

Good morning! I'm still away in Atlantic City (hopefully sleeping in a bit, too!), but here's a card I haven't posted to my blog yet. It's one that I made when I was part of the Dirty Dozen. The theme that month was "Chick-Lit" and we were to make cards that related to chickens or literature. My daughter's favorite poem is by Emily Dickenson and it's called "Hope." The poem starts off with "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches on the soul..."

The Ornament Chickadee was stamped twice in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white CS, and one was popped up on dimensionals. The ornament was stamped twice onto the Wassail DP, one was paper pieced over the base image and then a second one was popped up on dimensionals, too.

Starting tomorrow, it's Penny Black Week at Stamper's Dream so be sure to hop around to all the blogs and check things out. Here's the schedule:

Monday: Michelle, Amy, and me
Tuesday: Becca, Tosh, Michelle
Wednesday: Laurie, Michelle, and me
Thursday: Silke, Laurie, Michelle
Friday: Michelle, Tosh, Amy

Oh, and here's a peek at some brand spankin' new JustRite stamps that are COMING SOON to Stamper's Dream. They'll be available in the store by mid November!

Hey all, I'm back with a second post for today. I wanted to play with the colors in today's Color Throwdown challenge, especially after seeing Danielle's cute card with the monkey floating in the tube. It reminded me of this cute Penny Black Adrift image I got from Michelle at Stamper's Dream.

The lemons on the saffron panel are from my Margaritas clear set. They're heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Waterfall Stickles were added to the water and the ice cube in *Fat Cat's* (uh huh, that's his name) drink. Three more lemons were stamped and heat embossed on the inside of the card, down in the lower left-hand corner.
