More Nature Babies

Oh and how I LOOOOVE this raccoon and squirrel....especially the raccoon. He stole my heart!

The digi image is from Nature Babies 2 from Angel's Landing and the sentiment is from my MFT Essential Sentiments clear set. The main panel is up on foam tape and the punched sentiment is up on a second layer of foam. The animals were colored with Copics and I added the grass by hand. The Copics I used were G20, YG03, YG63, YG67, E31, E41, E42, E43, E51, W1, W3, W5, and W7. The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch #154. Papers are On the Bright Side-Two by My Mind's Eye.

So how's your weekend? We went to see The Lorax (cuuuute!) yesterday and today Kara is having one of her friend's over for a play date. I plan to watch the race in the kitchen while I get some food prepped for the week (salads, hard boiled eggs, etc....we're starting a new diet this week so I just need to have stuff ready to grab and snack on).

Have a great Sunday!

Nature Babies

Hi everyone! Man, this week got away from me....again. I had planned to do lots of stamping on Sunday, but it didn't work out. I FINALLY got to my craft table last night after everyone went to bed and made this card. The digi image is from Nature Babies 1 from Angel's Landing.

Love this little duckling and chick! Too cute! Next up I want to play with Nature Babies 2....I think that raccoon is calling my name. :) The die-cut sentiment (sentiment from Our Craft Lounge and die from Lil' Inker Designs) is up on foam tape. The square and scallop square panels are also up on separate layers of foam tape. I added dots of Stickles around the image for some sparkle and the layout is Mojo Monday Sketch 232. Papers are Howdy Doody by My Mind's Eye. Copics were used to color the image, and I pretty much followed Judi's coloring guide on what Copics to use. I had to do a little substituting, as I didn't have all of the ones she mentioned, but I got pretty close. I used Y00, Y11, Y21, YR00, YR14, YR15, YR21, G20, YG03, YG63, and YG67.

That's it for me today.....short and sweet....I gotta get to work.

Have a really great day!

Bunny & Violets

Hey all! On Saturday, I was at a really fun stamping get-together with friends and colored up this absolutely gorgeous digi image from Angels Landing.

Isn't it beautiful?...it's called bunny and violets. I love it! I colored up two images, cut out the violets and leaves from one, and popped them up on foam tape over the base layer. Here's a close-up...

The scalloped oval is also up on foam tape. All of the white CS is shimmery Sparkle Blanc from Paper Temptress. You can't see it in my photo, but the shimmer in the CS shows through the Copic coloring....nice!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a really great day!

Angels Landing Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Angels Landing November Blog Hop! Today we're showing you the newest digi sets for November, Polar Bear Cubs and Button Bugs. If you missed the beginning of the hop, head over to Judi's blog and follow the links. If you've come here from Cindy Royal's blog, then you're right on track with the hop.

You'll want to be sure and stop by everyone's blogs in the hop. Why?.....because there's blog candy up for grabs on FOUR of them! Whoo-hoooo!

I have two cards to show you today. The image and sentiment on the first card are from Polar Bear Cubs.

I added some frosted lace stickles to the bear's hat and the snow on the sentiment, and glittered up the chipboard snowflake with ultrafine pearl glitter and diamond glaze. The edges of the main image, sentiment tag, and embossed snowflake panel are all sponged with bashful blue ink. The card base is Prism Twilight Medium.

The image and sentiment on this second card are from the new Button Bugs set.

Judi was so clever in designing this set!.....the images work with REAL buttons (sizes 1/4" and 3/8") or you can punch them out and create your own faux buttons. The DP and buttons are Basic Grey's Wisteria. I added some lavender Stickles around the paper pieced wings. The card base is Prism Wizard Dark.

Here's a picture of the inside.....this *hi* sentiment is also from Judi's Button Bugs set.

Okay, next up in the hop is Cindy Haffner! Head on over and check it out!

I sized the image on the computer and printed it on PTI Select White, colored it with prismas and Gamsol, glued down some red Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the holly, and added some OCL Sugar Sparkly Fluff to his hat. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this wide striped ribbon? Awesome stuff!

I used Marching Band 1 on my card today. The main image, music notes, and sentiment on the inside of the card are all part of this new set. I printed the trio of animals on Kraft CS and colored them with prisma pencils and gamsol. The music notes were also printed on Kraft CS and I traced over them with my black spica glitter pen. The sentiment tag and the black matting behind the main image are up on foam tape. The bows were tied with my Bow Easy.

Oh!....some quick fitness babble....I got weighed on Monday at the gym and I lost 4 pounds during my first week!! Yay! Have you ever heard of adding a cucumber slice to a glass of water? It was a tip in this week's section of my binder. I just tried it yesterday...It may be more of a smell thing than a taste thing, but I like it! Anything that helps get all that water in, right?

Chatty Birds

Hi all! I spent the weekend with my daughter at the beach...ahhhh, the beach! Love it there! I even got up at 6 a.m. yesterday morning and went for a walk along the water...threw in a couple VERY short jogs too (oh my!). I've always wanted to get up early and go for a walk along the water by myself..finally did it! {smile} We did those old-time photos while we were there too, dressing up as flapper girls and posing next to an old car. Too fun! It's funny that my card is all about two birds chatting....it reminds me of ALL the talking my daughter and I did this weekend.

So anyway, today I want to show you another card I made using images from the SUPER adorable Aussie Animals set from Angel's Landing. Can you tell I love this set? It's so cute! Four birds were printed out on PTI white CS, two were cut out and popped up on foam tape. The grey mat circles behind the birds are also up on foam tape. The sentiment was sponged with bashful blue ink.

These birds are called Kookaburras.....isn't that just FUN to say?! Hee! Anyway, I had never heard of them until the fabulously talented Kathy (Wattle) gave me a little Aussie bird lesson after she saw my Angels Landing card last week. Kookaburras are native Austrialian birds, their calls sound like they're laughing (loudly), and they're typically golden brown and white, but some have blue on their wings and tails...oh my, *I'm* very chatty today, huh? Back to the card....

The polka dot frame is a Spellbinders that I got from Taylored Expressions and it's cut/embossed on DP from the June Key Ingredients Subscription Kit. I added a second one on the inside of the card too. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy.

Here's a close-up:

Aussie Birthday

Hey all! This month I'm guest designing for Angels Landing (Yay!) and here's my first card that I made using their digital images. The koala bear (and birds on the inside of the card) are from the super adorable Aussie Animals set.

I printed two koala images on PTI white CS and colored them with Copic markers, no heat setting or anything. The first one is on the white oval, the second one was cut out and popped up on foam tape. I did the same thing with the balloon he's holding, and the green scalloped oval is also up on foam tape. I traced over the balloon string with a black spica glitter pen. Here's a close-up:

The DP, Prism paper, ribbon, flowers, and candy dots are from my TE June Key Ingredients Subscription Kit. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy. Today's CAS Challenge on SCS is to make a card with a birthday theme...I just got lucky on that one and already had this card made {giggle}.

I printed, colored, and cut out two of the birds from the Aussie Animals set and added them to the inside of the card with a thin strip of the DP:
