Happy Birthday, Kara!

Well, technically it's not her birthday YET, but tomorrow we're having her roller skating party with her friends and then we'll be having family over to the house afterward, and I wanted to show you the card I made for her.

The cat stamp (Tulip Jungle) and sentiment (Critter Party) are both from Penny Black. The image was stamped on Sparkle Blanc CS from Paper Temptress, colored with Copic markers, Stickles were added to the tulips, and then I cut out the whole image and popped it up on foam tape. The layout is Freshly Made Sketch #19. I made sure to add seven rhinestones to the card since the birthday girl is turning a big SEVEN this coming week. Wow!...seven already....sigh....

Okay, so on that note....have yourself a great weekend! Whooo-hooooo....TGIF!

Bunny & Violets

Hey all! On Saturday, I was at a really fun stamping get-together with friends and colored up this absolutely gorgeous digi image from Angels Landing.

Isn't it beautiful?...it's called bunny and violets. I love it! I colored up two images, cut out the violets and leaves from one, and popped them up on foam tape over the base layer. Here's a close-up...

The scalloped oval is also up on foam tape. All of the white CS is shimmery Sparkle Blanc from Paper Temptress. You can't see it in my photo, but the shimmer in the CS shows through the Copic coloring....nice!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a really great day!

Mimosa with Stocking Cap

Hi all! I'm so excited to tell you that I'm guest designing for Stamping & Scrapping and I got to work with this SWEET Bildmalarna image called Mimosa with Stocking Cap. She's from the new 2010 Christmas Collection. To see more awesome projects with this sweet line of stamps, check out all the inspiration on the Bildmalarna Blog.

Mimosa was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen Irridescent CS that I got from Paper Temptress. I forgot about how wonderful this CS works with Copics until I went to Suzanne's Copic classes. It has such a gorgeous, subtle shimmer to it....and the shimmer shows through the coloring. If you haven't tried this CS with Copics, you gotta! It's awesome! Mimosa was then popped up on foam tape on the oval panel.

The sentiment and pink snowflakes around Mimosa are from OCL's Merry Wishes set. I added small dots of stardust stickles to the tips of the pink snowflakes and there's a little bit of frosted lace stickles on the end of her hat.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hailey's Bday Card

This is the birthday card I made for my daughter, Hailey, this year. I gave it to her already so I can post it now. I bought this Sarah Kay stamp years ago from Stamper's Dream because it reminds me so much of her.....artistic, beautiful, and sweet. Yep, that's my girl. {{big proud mama grin}}

It's a long card because it was holding a gift certificate to her favorite hair salon. I went with brown and green to match the colors on the gift certificate. It measures 4" x 8.5" and fits in a regular #10 envelope. The image is stamped on Cryogen Poison Ivory CS, colored with Copics, and I added some Stickles to her belt and white dots on her cheek. The main image and sentiment are both up on foam tape.

Have a great day!

Red Ruche Cherries

My girl Silke is hosting a sketch challenge this week on the Flourishes blog so I just had to play! I colored up my image on Tuesday and knew I wanted to use my red crepe ruche CS (love the texture on this stuff!) from Paper Temptress, but then I was stumped on what greens to use on the card so I let it sit. Well, LeAnne to the rescue!....yesterday's Color Throwdown colors were razzleberry, moss, and garden green...or you're allowed to use something "close" to those colors. I used the moss and garden greens, but switched out razzleberry for this red crepe color.

Have an awesome day!

*Edited to Add*
Someone asked yesterday what MME (in my supply list) stands for...It's My Mind's Eye. Just thought I'd mention it since I used MME paper on this card, too.

Hey there! I just got this Hearts & Hugs set in the mail yesterday from Our Craft Lounge and thought it would be perfect for some CAS-style cards. I used this layout from the Clean & Simple Blog, and the *love* theme fits into Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge.

I'm also excited to announce that I'm going to guest design this month for Paper Temptress! Patricia sent me a whole BUNCH of gorgeous papers to play with, so yesterday I got right to it and made these cards.

On this second one I punched some hearts and the wavy border in PT's Rosso Incandescent....

This CS is textured with a heavier gold sparkle. The punched hearts are up on foam tape. The card base is PT's Pink Double Duty, which is textured on one side and smooth on the other.
