For this hop, we were asked to make things to give as gifts. I made this bookmark with my aunt in mind and I think I'll give it to her for Christmas. I used the new Simple Blessings cling set. The stained glass oval was cut out by hand and popped up on foam tape.

Note: The actual stained glass stamp has a rectangular border around the oval. I didn't use that part on my bookmark.

I made this little bag for my one niece to sprinkle on her lawn on Christmas Eve. It's a 3.5" x 2" glassine bag that was embossed with my Holly embossing folder (I know, hard to see in the picture) and filled with oats and red sprinkles. The reindeer and sentiment are from my Holiday Cheer set and the scallop circle is up on foam tape.

Groovy Snowman

Remember that big plan I had to make two Christmas cards every month between January and December? Well, that didn't happen....BUT....I'm making up for it now. Yay! Here's another Christmas card. This time I combined three JustRite sets.



On the front, I used stamps from my Groovy Snowman set. The brown circle is up on foam tape and I added a bunch of platinum Stickles to all the snowflakes on the image. The rounded bottom to the front of the card was done by tracing a plastic container and then cutting it out by hand with scissors.



Here's the inside. The sentiment is from my Christmas Nested Sentiments set and the snowflakes are from Whimsical Christmas.

I followed Beate's tutorial HERE on SCS to make this. She has step-by-step instructions with pictures AND a great video tutorial at the end.

My MIL loves birds....she has three parrotts, a miniature parrott, and a whole bird santuary in her backyard with bird feeders GALORE...so of course this Backyard Birds set from JustRite was just screaming her name. She likes to read too so I thought I'd make her one of these corner bookmarks that I'm addicted to making lately.

The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics (numbers are in the supply list below), and I added some Stickles on the thistle.

JR Week - Backyard Birds

There are four beautiful birds in the set but I just LOVE hummingbirds so this is the first image I wanted to play with. The image is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and colored with Prisma pencils. The kraft circle with the sentiment is up on foam tape.

Hi all! Here's a card I made for Mercy's Sketch #85. Have you ever met Mercy?...my goodness what a riot she is!! I was lucky enough to meet her at CHA along with sweet Pam Varnell.



My stamps are from JustRite's Victorian Nested Frames, Borders & Centers. I stamped the sentiment and frame in black craft ink and heat embossed them with detail clear EP. The edges are sponged in So Saffron ink. The nested frame is up on foam tape.

Here's a picture of me with Mercy and Pam! This photo was taken by Sankari Wegman (thanks, Sankari!...you're a sweetheart!).....luckily she got a clear photo because mine came out all blurry...

JR Week - Holiday Cheer

Hi all! Can you believe we're half way through the year already? That means, we're half way to Christmastime.....yikes! I can't hardly believe it. I'm totally in summer mode right now....warm weather, flip flops, trips to the beach, and all that fun stuff....but, I have some brand new JustRite stamps to show you....some Christmas stamps!



The set I want to show you today is called Holiday Cheer. I decided to make a little glassine treat bag....there's a yummy chocolate brownie-covered pretzel (store bought) inside. Mmmmmmm....yeah, you KNOW I'm thinking about tearing into it! The snowflake circle is up on foam tape and the edges are sponged with Old Olive ink. I added some Eucalyptus Stickles to the snowflake and the dots around the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Softer Wildflower Garden

Okay, so yesterday I made a *dramatic* red, white and black card with my Wildflower Garden stamps. Today I have a *softer* card to show you using the same stamps. After I posted my red, white and black card yesterday, I saw THIS BEAUTY from Leslie.....and then I had to RUN and play with my silhouette stamps again. I loved her CAS design with the two shades of purple so I just had to CASE her.....hope ya don't mind, Leslie. {grin} The sentiment is from my JustRite Baroque Nested Centers set.

I combined my sweet Penny Black Yearning stamp with a sentiment from my JustRite Birthday Centers Round. The ivory sentiment circle, scallop circle behind it, large punched butterfly, and the rectangle with the hedghog are all up on foam tape. The hedgehog was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and I added some Stickles to the flower and grass. Oh, and I also added some freckles to his cheek with a white gel pen and glitter pen. The papers are a combination of MME Lush Blue and Cosmo Cricket Earth Love.

Hi all! This card came together very quickly (love when that happens). I used my JustRite All Occasions Nested Centers and some Lush Blue DP. The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch from the DP and popped up on foam tape. All edges were sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.
