Hope you have a wonderful day!

Fall Treat Holder

I was totally inspirated when I saw Dawn Burnworth's adorable little pumpkin bag....so inspired that I bought the Spellbinders Vine and Labels 10 dies JUST so I could make something similar. Hers is much cuter with more layers and embossing, but I'm okay with how mine came out. It's just for me to put in our foyer and I'll fill it with some candy corn. I may try making another one and going all out on more vines and sewn layers like Dawn did on hers.

Penny Black Slapstick stamps are available at Stamper's Dream. This one is called Hoppy Day.

Here's a side shot...

That's it for me today. Have a good one!

I scrapped too!

Hey, why not...since I'm on a roll with making things other than cards, right? LOL!

This photo was taken last year on one of Kara's preschool field trips. It was taken by one of the other moms (who is a photographer) and she gave it to Kara on her fifth birthday. I just loved it, especially the sparkle effect she added in the eyes, and I've had it hanging on my fridge since she gave it to us. Well, when OCL came out with the new Art of Nature set, I noticed that the wheat Kara is holding would match with the one stamp in the set and thought it'd be cool to make a scrapbook page with them together.

I started off following a layout from the September Page Maps site (the fourth one down on that link) but then the sketch sorta turned into something else. The turquoise circle and the tag are both up on Pop-up Glue Dots. I also added a "hidden" journaling tag....something that I think is really fun to do with scrapped pages. The tag tucks into that light purple panel and can be pulled out with the ribbon/button. Here's a close-up of the journaling tag...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I hope you enjoy what's left of the weekend.

I made a "thing"

LOL, I'm more of a card girl for sure and I don't make a whole lot of 3D items...or "things" as I call them. I have these awesome Reindeer Games and Reindeer Pun sets though and wanted to make something to include several jokes and punchlines all in one project. So check it out....I made a banner!

Now truth be told, I was going to make a joke "book" for my daughter or for my oldest niece, but....and this is why I don't normally make "things"....I didn't plan ahead very well and forgot to leave a place on all four pages where I could attach a ring. Duh! So hmmmmm, what to do? Instead I decided to make a banner! I've never made one of these before....but it was fun stringing it all together.

The above photo shows the banner all strung together with the jokes on the front. On the back is where I put all the punch lines.

I used lots of ribbon and gave a bunch of things dimension with Pop-up Glue Dots, on both the front and back.

Here are close-ups of each one (front and back)...

That's it for me today. Have yourself a WONDERFUL Saturday!

....and guess what? I'll be back on Monday to show you ANOTHER "thing".....oh my, again something other than a card.....it just might SNOW....here in PA....in September! LOL!

I was having so much fun playing with this Bath Time set yesterday that I decided to just go ahead and make two cards. The colors are from the girls over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. The right side of the red DP and scallop are up on foam tape so it's level with the cork. I added some Stickles to the bubbles on all three circles.

....and please ignore the little dog hair on the card. Oops! It's been removed but I'm too lazy to retake the picture, lol!

Time for me to get to work....I guess...sigh.....

Teddy Bear SFYTT

Hey there! I wanted to play in the CCEE bear challenge this week and couldn't wait to make something using Jen del Muro's latest sketch. So fun!

Stamps are from my Bath Time Popcorn Bear set from Crafter's Companion. The main image and sentiment are both up on foam tape, there's some Stickles on all the bubbles, and I added some dew drops to the bubbles in the sentiment.

We went out to dinner last night at Shady Maple, went on a hayride and walked through a corn maze, came home and watched the race at Richmond. Well, I saw the beginning anyway....about half way through, I zonked out on the couch, lol!

Not sure what the plans are for today. I guess we'll play it by ear.

I'll be back tomorrow to show you another card I made with this Bath Time Popcorn Bear set. It's for the C4C Color Challenge.

See ya!
