Color Throwdown #236

Hi all. I'm back to share my Color Throwdown card for this week.  Lynn is our host this week and check out this cool pansy image she chose...

Here's my card...

I used Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence (oops, I *thought* I used Orchid...now that I'm looking at my card along with the other girls at the CTD, I think I goofed and pulled the wrong color...sorry, girls), and I changed out Artichoke for Certainly Celery because I didn't have artichoke.  The stamp is by Magnolia and it's called Tilda with Eggs and Chicken.  I used Deconstructed Sketch #95 again for the layout.

COPICS:
Hair and Boots:  YR21, YR24, E33, E35, E37
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Dress and Purple Egg: BV000, BV02, BV04
Basket: R81, R83, R85
Chick and Yellow Eggs: Y00, Y03, Y08
Green Egg and Grass:  G21, G24, G40

Seasoned Croutons

My friend Debbie shared this recipe with me.....and oh my, thanks to her, I won't be buying store-bought croutons anymore. I'll be making THESE from now on. They're easy to make and sooooo yummy!!!

A little about the recipe card....it's 5" x 7", the matted rectangle panels are popped up on foam tape, and Stickles were added to different parts of the Tilda image.

In case the recipe is too hard to read from my photo and you're interested in trying it, here it is...

2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried basil
one pinch salt
6 slices day-old bread, cubed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 5 minutes. Stir and bake for another 5-10 minutes until crisp and brown. Store in airtight container in fridge forup to 3 days or freeze.

Have a great night!

Sweet Stop Sketch 101

Happy Saturday! It's time for our weekly sketch over on the Sweet Stop.

I've had this Magnolia image colored up for weeks and finally made it into a card. I don't know the name of the stamp (the image was stamped and given to me), but boy do I think she's cuuuute! The main matted image is up on foam tape and so is the circle sentiment. Stickles were added to her apron and hair bows. The Kaiser Craft pearls were colored with a YG23 Copic. The DP is Little Girl by Echo Park and you can get it at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Here's Korin's sketch if you'd like to take a look and play along.

Have an awesome day!

Sweet Stop Sketch 95

It's SKETCH time over on the Sweet Stop Blog. Hop on over there and check out what beautiful cards the Sugar Babies have to show you today.

For my card, I used this sweet Magnolia image that my friend Lori stamped for me (thanks, girlie!). I added some stardust Stickles to Tilda's sleeve and lacey hem. I also added some white paint pen accents to their cheeks and on their shoes. The two paper buttons in the lower left corner, the "hugs" sentiment, and scalloped kraft rectangle are all up on foam tape. I threaded hemp twine through most of the paper buttons. The pomegranate one in the upper right-hand corner has a strip of the DP threaded through it.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Kitchen Tilda

Lookie here....I went and bought my first Tilda. I have to admit I wasn't always so *into* the Magnolia stamps, but they've totally grown on me now...especially Kitchen Tilda. Love her! I thought she'd be perfect for some recipe cards.

Instead of making myself some more typed up cards, I decided to make a stack of blank recipe cards for my Aunt Kay as one of her Christmas gifts this year. She's a really great cook and people are always asking her for her recipes (me included) and she normally writes them down on a blank white index card. Now she'll have some *prettied up* cards to use.

I made a total of twelve 4x6 recipe cards, four of each of these. The sentiment circle was done with my JustRite Library/Kitchen/Desk Set and Trompe fonts. The word "recipe" is from my Hero Arts What's Cooking clear set.

Then I just made a 4x6 cover, decorated just like a card front with Kitchen Tilda, put the cover on the top of the stack of recipe cards, and tied it all closed with some white ribbon. The sentiment at the bottom is also from my Hero Arts What's Cooking clear set.

Have a great day!

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Kitchen Tilda, JustRite Trompe Upper and Lowercase fonts, JustRite Three Border Set, Hero Arts What's Cooking

Ink: Memento Cocoa

Three more cupcake cards

Hi everyone! I finished all nine sketches for the Cupcake Anniversary celebration! Yay! This is going to be a long post with three cards, but these are the final three that I haven't posted to my blog yet.

This one is Monika's sketch. I stamped my new MacBeth stamp twice, cut the second one out and popped it up on Dimensionals over the first one. The white circle and white scallop circle are each up on separate layers of Dimensionals as well.

SUPPLY LIST
~
Stamps: Sugar Nellie MacBeth (Home Grown Collection)
Paper: White

Accessories: PTI Summer Sunrise Ribbon, White Waxed Linen Thread (StarLit Studio), Precut Scallop Circle Cards, Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Next are some cards using the Magnolias that my buddy Terri sent me.

The first one is Donna's sketch and I used the Cherry Tilda and Garden Chair image. Pretty cool of Terri to not only stamp these for me but mask them too! Thanks, Terri! All the panels were faux stitched with my SU mat pack, piercing tool, and a Brocade Blue marker. The main panel is up on Dimensionals. The adhesive bling cherries are available at both Taylored Expressions and at Stamper's Dream.

On the inside of the card, I stamped my One Leaf Cherry stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs in the lower left-hand corner.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Magnolia Cherry Tilda, Magnolia Garden Chair, MFT Essential Sentiments, Whipper Snapper One Leaf Cherry (inside of card)
Paper: PTI Select White, Real Red, Real Red Designer Prints Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (B21, B24, E00, E02, RV21, RV23, G21, G24, G28, YR21, E33, E25, R46), Brocade Blue marker
Accessories: Bling Cherries, SU Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, Red Organdy Ribbon (Michael's), Red Waxed Linen Thread (StarLit Studio), Rectangle Nestabilities (inside of card)
Technique: Faux Stitching

The next one is Jami's cupcake sketch and I used the Holding Balloons image from Terri. I cut out the Tilda image and balloons, popped them up on Dimensionals, and then ran some red waxed thread for the balloon strings behind the image. Diamond Stickles were added to her wings. The sentiment was heat embossed. The ribbon is from Taylored Expressions.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Magnolia Holding Ballons, SASI Sweet Celebration (Taylored Expressions)
Paper: Real Red, Ballet Blue, So Saffron, Eyelet DP from Michael's Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, White Craft, Copics (YR21, YR24, Y38, R46, B21, B24, W1, W3, W5, E33, E35, E25, E00, E02) Accessories: Diamond Stickles, Dimensionals, Red Waxed Linen Thread (StarLit Studio), White Embossing Powder, TE Ribbon, Circle Nestabilities

Hi all! Lookie here...my first Magnolia card!

My sweet, sweet friend Terri sent me a bunch of these Magnolia images to try out. I have to admit I wasn't a big Magnolia fan all along...I didn't think they were *my thing* at first. Well, after seeing all the great cards Terri has made with them (she rocks them every time) and now that I've colored up a bunch, I'm converted!! They're totally fun to color...I especially like this one with the cupcake. Well, actually the stamp is called Tilda with Cowberry Muffin....what exactly is a cowberry muffin?? LOL!

Thanks for all the images, Terri! I have five more images all colored and ready to go. I got on a roll one night while watching TV and couldn't stop. Hehe!

The layout is today's SCS Sketch Challenge (SC211). The punched hearts and the scallop rectangle are all up on Dimensionals. Diamond Stickles were added to Tilda's wings.
