Twilight Sarah Kay

Happy Easter Sunday!! I made this card a while ago and just never posted it (see all that icky snow in the background...yeah, hopefully we won't be seeing any more of THAT anymore...ewwww!).

I used my Twilight Prism Papers Trio and paired them with these Sarah Kay Spring Blossoms and Hero Arts Happy Greetings stamps. The main image is stamped on Neenah White CS. A second girl was colored, cut out, and popped up on Dimensionals. I added some Waterfall Stickles to the centers of the flowers and the ribbon on her hat. Gun Metal Stickles were added to her scissors. I painted a white prima flower with some December Sky Shimmerz paint.

Stamper's Dream is now totally restocked with a huge selection of Stampavie (both Rachelle Ann Miller and Sarah Kay) stamps. Hurry over and check it out!

Isn't this blue polka dot pattern the sweetest...the ribbon ties like a dream and the color is beautiful...and check out the bouquet of roses. They're TOTALLY fun to color! They're from the new Fresh Flowers set at Taylored Expressions.

The Buttercream panel with the main image and the Suede Brown square behind it are each up on SU Dimensionals. The punched sentiment is up on Taylor's 1/8" foam tape, and it's accented with flowers and a rhinestone from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients. The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #10. The inside of the card follows the same layout as the front with more of the polka dotted DP and Suede Brown CS.

Parisian Butterfly Sketch Set

Hi everyone! I just got these awesome SU Beautiful Butterflies dies..LOOOVE them! I saw them in the galleries, but then I saw THIS GORGEOUS CARD from my friend Dawn and I just HAD to have them for myself. I went right to SU and ordered them.

The first card is Taylor's TECC62 sketch. The white butterfly and kraft butterfly are each up on separate layers of Dimensionals. The same white/floral butterfly is on the inside of the card, down in the lower left-hand corner, up on Dimensionals as well. The card measures 5.25" Square.

Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Parisian Breeze DP
Ink: Basic Brown
Accessories: SU Beautiful Butterflies Dies, Dimensionals, Kaiser Craft Adhesive Pearls, Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities

Next up is Weekend Sketch #75 by Mary Jo. The brown polka-dotted butterfly on the left, the white curved mega rectangle, and the brown mat behind it are all up on separate layers of Dimensionals. There's one more brown polka-dotted butterfly on the inside of the card down in the lower left-hand corner. The card measures 3.75" x 7.5"

Oh, and just in case you're wondering about SU plates with a Cuttlebug like I was, it's totally do-able. You don't *have* to have the Big Shot to use them. In a Cuttlebug, your sandwich is as follows: B plate, Beautiful Butterflies die, second B plate. That's it! You don't need an A plate or any additional cardstock pieces or chipboard. Cuts like a dream!

Here's a picture of all four cards together:

Whew, that was a long post. Thanks for sticking with me and have an awesome day!

Silke CASE

Today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge is being hosted by my awesome buddy, Silke, and it's to make a card using your favorite Flourishes set.

I have two favorite Flourishes sets. For watercoloring, it's definitely the Siberian Iris set. For quick cards with a beautiful image, it's definitely this Thank You set. I don't actually own the set...YET...but man, I've had my eye on it for a long time! Silke was kind enough to send me a few images to try and I'm definitely going to buy it (rumor has it, a bunch of new Flourishes sets are on their way to Stamper's Dream!)...this is just a must have set, in my opinion. You can color this pretty flower very quickly and the curvy fonts are beautiful.

My card is a CASE of Silke's beautiful purple gratitude card. THIS card of hers is the reason I've had my eye on this Flourishes set for so long now....so, of course, the first thing I did with it was CASE her. I love to CASE Silke!

Here's a close-up of the Dimension:

Monarch Butterfly

Hey gang! Today I have a Northwoods card to show you. My daughter, unfortunately, was in need of a sympathy card for her boyfriend's family. They lost their "Poppa" (grandfather) this week. :(

This pretty Northwoods Monarch Butterfly stamp and the Kaiser Craft Pearls can be found at Stamper's Dream. The black matted panel with the cornice edge is up on Dimensionals.

We thought it would be nice to somehow incorporate the name "poppa" on the card. I used my JustRite Trompe Lowercase Font and Rectangle Stamper to make the sentiment, stamped on Neenah Natural White. Then I stamped his name on Pale Plum and punched out the butterfly, which is up on Dimensionals.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: JustRite Lowercase Trompe Font, Northwoods Monarch Butterfly

Accessories: Kaiser Craft Pearls, Martha Stewart Cornice Edge Punch, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, SU Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder

TE Release Day Notecards

Okay shoppers...it's time! You can now buy the new Downtown Diva and Fresh Flowers sets as well as the Mother's Day Key Ingredients at Taylored Expressions!

For my last sneak peek, I made a set of four notecards with the Fresh Flowers set. The only difference in the notecards is how I wound the ribbon. On two cards, the ribbon is tucked behind the DP panel. On the other two, it's tied around the entire front flap of the card (so the ribbon can be seen when the cards are opened up).

The images were stamped on Taylor's Choice Buttercream CS and I used that CS for the card bases too. The oval panels are up on Dimensionals and so are the Curved Rectangle DP panels. The DP, ribbons, and clear rhinestones are all part of the Mother's Day Key Ingredients.

How to make the card bases...
I had a couple people email me asking how the curved rectangle bases are made. Just cut your CS to a regular A2 size (4.25" x 5.5"), score it and fold it closed, place the folded A2 card in your cuttlebug and then lay the curved mega rectangle die over it with the top of the die sitting off the edge of the folded card, then run it through the Cuttlebug. For these notecards, I used the second to largest curved rectangle die.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: Whimsical Wishes Fresh Flowers
Paper: TE Choice Buttercream CS, Crate Paper Blue Hill Collection DP from Mother's Day Key Ingredients
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (0, YG91, W1, BG10, RV42, YG03)
Accessories: Ribbon and Clear Rhinestones from Mother's Day Key Ingredients, Oval Nestabilities, Spellbinders Curved Mega Rectangles, Dimensionals

TE Downtown Diva sneak peek

I'm back with another Taylored Expressions sneak peek to show you! Today we're showing you the new Downtown Diva set, from the Stamp a Sweet Impression collection.

Aren't these little purses the cutest?! The Buttercream circles with the purses, the Blush Red Medium scallop circles, and the punched sentiment are all up on Dimensionals. I added a clear Kaiser Craft rhinestone to the center of three of the purses. The rhinestones, Prism papers, DP, and ribbon are all part of the Mother's Day Key Ingredients.

The sketch is from Cambria Turnbow (weekend sketch #73).

Here's the inside of the card where I stamped another image from the Downtown Diva set in Versamark:

Something else that could have been used in place of the clear rhinestones are Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. You're all familiar with these multi-colored, round cuties. Well, as of tomorrow's release, there will be two NEW twinkle carousels!! One is all clear rhinestones in various sizes and the other is multi-colored twinkles in various shapes (stars, hearts, flowers, teardrops, squares, etc.). Easy as 1-2-3...or so they say...

Yeah, sounded easy enough....the Limited Supplies Challenge today was to make a card with one color of CS along with a neutral, two patterns of DP, and three embellishments. Well, here's the card I made...

I was all proud of myself for completing a limited supplies challenge and following it to a T, took my picture, went to upload it and then I saw it....I goofed AGAIN! I swear, I CANNOT do this challenge without messing something up! Do you see it?....I did two colors of CS and one pattern of DP.....totally got that backwards, huh? Oye! Oh well, at least I got to play with my new SU Bella Blossoms set. I've been eyeing it for a while, loved the look of the layered petals I saw in the galleries, and finally bought it.

The Suede Brown Prism CS, brown Crate Paper DP, satin ribbon, and clear rhinestones on my card are part of the Taylored Expressions Mother's Day Key Ingredients that'll be released this Sunday, April 5th at 8 a.m. Pacific time.

Speaking of Key Ingredients, rumor has it that the Easter Key Ingredients are in final quantities...so if you want it, grab it while it's available.

Here's the inside of the card:

Oh, second problem for the day....I printed this sketch from SOMEWHERE on March 28th and for the life of me I can't find it. Do any of you know where it's from so I can give proper credit and link up to it? Can ya help me out?

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: SU Bella Blossoms
Paper: SU Very Vanilla, SU Pretty in Pink, Prism Suede Brown Medium and Crate Paper Blue Hill Collection DP from TE Mother's Day Key Ingredients
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Craft White

It includes so many pretty floral images and sentiments that it can be used for just about anything...mother's day, thank you cards, birthday, get well, and notecards to tell someone you love them.

Notice that I used Flower Soft in the window box?? Well, Taylor is now carrying it in her store!! It goes SOOO well with this set. I loved using it in the window box. The card measures 5.25" square. The shutters are up on Dimensionals and so is the Suede Brown mat panel behind the stamped image. The main image is stamped on Taylor's Choice Buttercream CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The Prism CS, DP (including the shutters and window box), ribbons, and clear rhinestone in the center of the top window are all part of the new Mother's Day Key Ingredients!

Here's the inside of the card where I used another pretty stamp from this new set.

JustRite Teacher Gifts

Hi everyone! It's JustRite week at Stamper's Dream and each day we're showing you some cool NEW stuff that's JUST been released by JustRite and added to the Stamper's Dream store. Be sure to check out Tosh's blog, Kim's blog, and Michelle's blog today for their fabulous JustRite projects! Don't forget, Michelle posted blog candy on her blog this past Monday and she's posting MORE today.

I made a couple teacher gift bags for my daughter's upcoming Easter party at preschool. The tutorial for these gift bags is from Julie Buhler and you can see it HERE on her blog.

I followed her measurements for the treat bags when scoring. I changed the measurements when cutting though...my bags are 4" wide (instead of 2.75" wide). Rather than punching holes in the front of the bag, I used my new JustRite What's Cookin' set layered on a scallop circle and some DP. Inside is a clear bag filled with pastel-colored (Smartie flavored...yum!) jelly beans. Another step I added was to punch a hole in the top and add some white Grosgrain ribbon instead of using a staple.

Do you know what else is NEW at Stamper's Dream?.....Spellbinders dies including the new Impressabilities. Check it out!

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: JustRite What's Cookin'
Paper: Prism Candle Glow Light, White, Misc Eyelet DP
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: 1-5/8" JustRite Wooden Stamper, Spellbinders Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Doily Punch, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Cropodile, 1/8" foam tape, 3" x 4" clear cellophane bags

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!
