Spoil Yourself Silly

...yep....ANOTHER puppy birthday card. :) This time I used my Penny Black "Hello Friend" and "Bubbly" clear sets.

The cloud is up on foam tape and diamond glaze was added to the headlights and windshield.

I'm sending this one off to another male family member....hope it works okay as a masculine card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a good day. :)

Wryn!

Okay...I have found myself a new digi character that I absolutely adore! It's Wryn from Tiddly Inks. Isn't she cuuuute?!....and OMG, so fun to color! I downloaded TWO of the new Wryn images...this one that I'm showing you on my card today and the one holding the heart bouquet.

My card measures 5" square, the layout is Deconstructed Sketch #33, I colored the image with Copics, Stickles were added for sparkle, and the sentiment (from an old SU set) is popped up on foam tape. Patterned papers are My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy.

Hope you've had a great day!

Coconut Chicken Salad Recipe Card

So now that the holidays are over, I'm trying to get back to eating "healthier" foods. I just tried THIS coconut chicken salad recipe earlier this week from Skinnytaste.com and I really liked it so I figured I'd make it into a recipe card for my binder.

I know, I know....a lot of people don't like coconut....but I do! Yum!! :) The card measures 5" x 7"....no stamps on this one...just the butterfly die, bling, lace ribbon, Stickles on the butterfly, and sewing. Done and done. :)

If you'd like to see the recipe binder and sheet protectors I use, here are the links:

Dad's Birthday Card

Good morning! Check me out....a blog post TWO days in a row...whoo-hooo, I'm getting back in the crafting groove. Feels good! :)

My dad's birthday is coming up later this month so I made this card for him using Mojo Sketch #222. The stamped sentiment is from my Verve "Big Wish" set, papers are My Mind's Eye Ooh La La, and dies are by Spellbinders. The large star is up on foam tape.

Here's a peek at the inside...

Have an awesome day!

Birthday Butterfly

Hey there! I'm back with another birthday card....just a quick, CAS butterfly card with some bling. :)

Both butterflies (SU dies) are up on separate layers of foam tape. All the patterned papers are from my MME Ooh La La pack. The stamped sentiment is from my Penny Black Critter Party (again...lol!) clear set.

That's it for me today...short and sweet. Have a good one!

Critter Party Puppy

Hi there and happy January 3rd. Hubby is back to work and the kiddo is back to school....and I have the house to myself again! Ahhhhh, it's so quiet around here! :) Last night I had some time to craft and I'm in need of a couple birthday cards this week, so here's the first one I made....

The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. I took inspiration from her card and ruffled up my ribbon. The puppy, stamped butterfly, and sentiment are from my Penny Black Critter Party set (yes, I love this set and use it a lot....especially that birthday sentiment...hope you're not sick of seeing it). The main image is up on foam tape and Stickles were added for some pretty sparkle. The card measures 4" square.

Have a really great day!

Happy New Year!

Hi all and happy 2012!! I hope you enjoyed your New Year's Eve last night. We stayed home. Other than having a rotten cold, I loved every minute of staying home and relaxing in my sweats....I decided it would be a good time to do some crafting, too, so I blew the dust off my stamp table and got to work. Here's what I made...

My awesome, sweet friend Dawn (love that girl) sent me a package of goodies last month that included some felt and this SWEET Jolinne stamp. The layout is MFT Sketch #52. Stickles were added to the string of hearts Jolinne is holding. The felt heart and cut-out sentiments are all up on foam tape.

Have a really great day! I'll be off this a.m. to the grocery store to stock up on some "healthy" foods.....gotta get a few pounds off (too much indulging in sweets this past month)...ugh!

Happy December!

Hi everyone! I'm going to take a blogging break until after the new year. No worries....everything is good!...promise! :) I'm just going to take a blogging break, that's all. I hope to get back into the swing of regular crafting and blog posting in the beginning of January.

I wish you all a VERY good December, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!

Kitchen Knight

Hi all! Long time no crafty posting, huh? Yeah, between Thanksgiving and some other "life" issues, I just haven't had time to paper craft much lately. I did, however, have some time yesterday and this morning (yay!) so I made this card for our friend's son who just turned three years old today. Happy Birthday, Mason!!

I used Mo Manning's Kitchen Knight digi image, colored it with Copics, and added some Stickles to the dragon's wings. The three Spellbinders stars are up on foam tape.

Hope you're all doing well and that you had a nice Thanksgiving. Can you believe it's already December 1st? This year has totally flown by. I'm usually stressed about it being the beginning of December, with all the shopping to be done and knowing there are only 25 days 'til Christmas.....but THIS year, I'm looking forward to a really GREAT December. November was just NOT a good month for me and I'm personally glad it's over....so onto December, I say! I hope it's good to EVERYONE!

Make a Wish

Hi all and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend has been great. I made this card for a friend who will be celebrating a birthday this week.

I used another digi image by Mo Manning, called Make a Wish.....can I just say how totally addicted I am to Mo's images lately?...LOVE them! The scalloped over is up on foam tape and so is the large DP layer that sits on the card base. Stickles were added to random parts of the image. The sentiment is from an old SU set of mine and that's also up on foam tape. The layout is today's Sweet Sunday Sketch #144.

Have a good night!

Welcome Baby Caybrie!

Friends of ours just had their fourth child, a sweet baby girl, and I wanted to send them a Babies R Us gift card. These pop-up gift card holders are so easy and fun to make....it's the first template I go for whenever I have a gift card to give. The cute baby image is by Mo Manning....called "Spit Happens"......bwahahahaha! LOVE that....spit happens...HA!

Congratulations to our friends, the Trustys, and welcome to the world, baby Caybrie!

Happy Cluckin' Birthday!

....bwahahahaha, I seriously L-O-V-E that sentiment. Cracks me up every cluckin' time! :)

I made this card for a girlfriend of mine...and I think she'll get a real kick out of the sentiment....heehee!! Stamps are by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper Designs. The stamp set is called Crazy for Chickens.

Yesterday I took Kara shopping for new pajamas (and oh man, was the mall CROWDED!!...as in the-week-before-Christmas crowded), got some for myself and Dan, came home and we did some more yard clean-up from the snowstorm. There are now three HUGE piles of limbs in our yard....hmmm, maybe we should have a bonfire....

Anyway, we have some more yard clean-up to do today and I still need to get all the potted plants off the deck.

Have an awesome Sunday!

Anniversary Card

Hi all and happy Sunday! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far. Yesterday we went to my niece's birthday party and today we're headed to our friend's Halloween party.....the one that we couldn't make it to last weekend due to the big snowstorm (pics below).

I made this card for my mom and dad's anniversary. Yep, it's pretty much just like the card in my previous post....I just used different colors and a different sentiment.

Here are pics of our "Halloween snowstorm"....

Trees totally bent over...

Two point dunk shot into the trampoline..

Trees bent over and touching the driveway...

Kara's "fort" in the hedges...

The other side of the trampoline (the net is ripped from the tree limb)...

...the day after....blue skies, fall leaves, and left-over snow...

This was one helluva storm....it knocked down trees and limbs across the whole county and it took the power company SIX days to get our power restored. Crazy! Luckily we had a generator so we were okay, but man-oh-man, that's a long time to be without internet and cable TV....and as you can see, our yard was a mess! On our way to my niece's party yesterday, we STILL saw trucks out on the roads working on the power lines and trimming trees.

Have a good one!

Arranged with Love

Nobody "enjoys" making a sympathy card, but I was in need of one so I pulled out my "Arranged with Love" set from Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs. The image is so detailed, gorgeous and large that it can pretty much stand alone on a card. The only embellishments I added were Stickles and a little twine bow by the sentiment.

Be sure to hug your loved ones and enjoy today!
